No Flavor
Pizza looked good but somehow managed to have no flavor.

Great Neighborhood Pizza!
Sal's has been my neighborhood favorite for the past year - their pizza is consistently good, whether it's a whole pizza pie & pasta for a group of friends, or a late night slice.

Good Consitent Pizza
For me, this is the best traditional New York pizza in the East Village right now. The sauce is well-spiced and the crust has good flavor and is crisp and chewy, but not gummy. The service (time from order to delivery) has definitely gotten better since they moved to their present location. It's not the fastest in the East Village, but I live 4 streets down and 3 avenues over and it usually comes in a little over 30 minutes, somtimes less.

Awesome pizza, too much club traffic on late nights
Great pizza, especially the tomato & riccotta, great shrimp parm, but it's tiny, very hot, and on late nights full of party-people from the bar next door. If you can bare that, it's def worth it for the food!

Amazing Pizza!
I have eaten pizza all over New York, and I might have to say that Sal's is the best. I go there about every 2 weeks and have never had a bad slice. Also, their garlic knots are to die for! I just wish I lived closer to Sal's so I wouldn't spend so much $$ on cab fare to get there. YUM!

Chicken Parm Let Me Rock Ya
Most people I talk to like the pizza at Sal's. I do too. But good pizza is easy to find. What is hard to find is a good Chicken Parimgiana Hero. These guys do it right. Perfect ratios of bread, sauce, cheese and chicken. The cutlets are good quality and the bread is fresh, both crispy and chewy. The sandwich weighs a ton. Best Chicken Parm in Manhattan and I have tried many.
