Best Buffet in the city
As the title states Salaam Bombay has the best lunch buffet in the city. Also the restaurant has an amazing event space for parties.

Excellent!
We had dinner at Salaam Bombay this past Thursday evening. The food was great and service very attentive (perhaps they made the changes that earlier reviews complained about?). The Tandoori Chicken, Aloo Gobi (cauliflower, potatoes and peas), Tandoori Jumbo Shrimp Masala and breads were all excellent. Nice decor. The best Indian food we have had in a long time. Will definitely go back.

Must eat place!
I've gone to this place about 5 times already. We only ever go during lunch when they offer the lunch buffet for $13.95. There is a great selection of foods and we always leave stuffed and satisfied. I dont know why there are so many bad reviews on here...perhaps they were written by local competitors? I have not one bad thing to say. Everything is always delicious. Definitely go!!

Bad choice...waste of money!
We got a chance to try Salaam Bombay in New york but were disappointed after tasting the food. Ambeince is good but it was hot inside on a sunny day. Cold food...Lot of cream and Soda in food which spoiled our stomach..Will never recomend or try again.Shame to serve such food. Cheers

Excellent
Dependable and high quality. One of the very few good restaurants in Tribeca.

One of the Best Indian Restaurants
Excellent food. We liked it so much that we went twice in 2 weeks. The food is little expensive but worth the price. I specially liked the chicken biryani and the unusual way that it is cooked (in a earth pot, covered with bread). The atmosphere is great. On the flip side, the lady manager kept trying to push for more and more to order even though we had placed a large order. Also, their beer selection is just horrible. An upscale restaurant should have more selection than Budweiser and Kingfisher.
