    Go there

Great for a birthday or a small gathering. I think it could be romantic but alas, I have not been with a date yet... Great food, decor and service.

    Fantastic Experience!

I just had a last-minute, surprise birthday party here for my fianc?. The Sala One-Nine staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. The group size changed several times, and there never was an issue. The staff welcomed us as if we were members of their family, and were visiting their home. The prixe-fixe menu was an unbelievable bargain! An abundance of food, wine and beer filled the table all night. Everything from the tapas to the paella was delicious. Everyone in the party raved about the food and service (especially the birthday girl!). It was an absolutely fantastic experience from the reservations to the dessert. Outstanding!

Good tapas...but rushed us to leave

I went here for dinner with a group of six. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Recommendations of the house specialties were right on. The mushroom tosta was excellent, lots of garlic. The honey caramelized goat cheese was amazing as were the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with almonds The calamare a la plancha was perfectly done... I could go on and on as we tried almost everything on the menu. The food is all really quite excellent. The only drawback was the rushing. We were served our racciones while we still had tostas on the table. They did the same while serving the entrees not waiting until we were finished, trying to clear plates with food still on them. The point of tapas is to sit back and drink with little bites. I really felt rushed to leave by the servers bringing our food. Overall I'm glad I went but I'm not sure I would go back with a group of six. We were too small to get the prefix menu and too large to stay and enjoy our table.

    Only okay

The food was original, but the service was really poor. Our server brought out the wrong plates, didn't check back, etc....we really had to wait a long time to get the things we needed. This is a great place to stop in, but if you're looking for really great spanish food or a welcoming environment, this isn't it.

    Exceeded my Expectations

I expected a little, cramped sandwich place after reading the other review, but it's actually quite spacious and there are tables with waiter service as well as counter service. Actually, the atmosphere was very nice, open, well decorated, comfortable. I had the pork adobo sandwich and it was incredibly good. I will definitely be going back here regularly.

    Sandwiches Not Tapas... TG!

This really is a sandwich bar for a quick lunch. These crusty Spanish loaves called bocadillos are filled with grilled and seasoned meats and vegetables that are very satisfying. Sandwiches, soups and salads can be eaten at the small bar but are most often taken out or delivered.
