    A Bad Experience

Based on the one review here, I ordered delivery tonight. I also gave the delivery guy a $5 tip. Well, the Ikura looked like it was five-years-old. I immediately called back and told them that it was disgusting. The person on the phone said that it was because the Ikura was refrigerated and they didn't have time to defrost it. Nice! I then tried one of the three rolls we ordered. I spit the piece out. The rice was dry and hard. Hey, I'm not messing with seafood, especially raw seafood. You are on your own if you patronize this place. There are too many good sushi restaurants in the area to even consider this place.

    surprisingly satisfactory

My friend and I wanted something quick, cheap, and not heavy, so we stopped by here on a random weekday evening. The place looked super cheap - dingy, with awful lighting, like your typical chinese take-out place (this place is a side-by-side Chinese-Japanese take-out place). By the looks of it I was expecting a couple of just-barely-edible avocado rolls, but got rolls with (although were not incredibly fat nor neat-looking) really well-seasoned rice with fresh-tasting but not overly ripened avocado (which I've found to be an incredibly rare find, many expensive Japanese restaurants are just plain awful). The miso soup was also not watered down nor overly salty (basically it was just right). My friend had the vegetable/shrimp tempura rolls which she claimed were delicious, with the same fresh well-made rice and tasty not-overdone tempura. I don't know if we just lucked out with more carefully made food because no one was there, but for the price we both felt like we'd gotten way more than we were expecting. At least for sushi rolls, I'd definitely recommend this place.
