    Sushi not good

Just tried this place, unfortunately it's just not good. Got two Maki combos, one spicy (b) and one normal (c). Both looked mushy/glossy and had a fishy aftertaste. The price is right but you get what you pay for.

    surprisingly awesome

I almost never post review and was a bit nervous to order from this place b/c of some of the other reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. The delivery was very fast, the food was hot, and they take credit cards. The chicken udon soup was the best I've had in Brooklyn (much better than some if the places in park slope that charge double). everything else we ordered was good too.

    Good food, good service

I'm on my way there now! Just came online to review the menu again and decided to give my honest review. For the guy below complaining about pink ginger....hello every sushi spot is not the same and many of them serve pink ginger...sounds like a complainer to me :p They are open to hearing ways to improve (I've complained about not enough meat in my soup and they fixed it without a word) but I guess you can't please every body. The place is very clean and reasonably priced. I always get the spicy tuna and I agree they need to make it more spicy but that's why there is wasabi on the side so people can adjust to their personal spice level. Today I am going to try the fried rice based on the comments on here.

    Better than I expected

I read the reviews and was hesitant to order but I took a chance. I'm glad I did! The best thing to do is keep it simple. I ordered an eel cucumber roll w/ brown rice which was very tasty! The white tuna roll w/ avocado wrapped in brown rice was fresh and had a nice flavor. Delicious! I also got the hibachi shrimp fried rice. It's a large portion and enough to feed 2-3 people. It was made with fresh onions, shrimp, egg, carrots & scallions. There's one drawback, too many onions than I would like & I’ll opt for none the next time. Scallions are enough.

    Good value

Have ordered take out a few times now. I feel like you get a really good amount of food for the price, and I've enjoyed almost everything I've gotten. The miso soup is a little bland and salty though.

    Pretty good for the neighborhood

Ate a here a bunch of times. They are very nice and helpful. Just had the white tuna roll. Really good. Everything is pretty solidly good. The first time the chicken teriyaki was kinda bland, but that was on opening day. Its been pretty good with the hot food and cold food. Not a high end place but great to have in the neighborhood.

Thought i would try but extremely disappointed!

i just ordered from sakura tokyo. what a waste of $30. I ordered chicken curry soba soup, spicy tuna roll, spicy lover roll, sakura fried rice and shumai miso soup. the sushi was subpar--pink mush--no flavor and definitely NOT spicy. the miso soup was overly salty with no other flavor. the fried rice was extremely bland with poor quality shrimp and meat. the soba soup had wheat noodles instead of buckwheat AND tomatoes with no curry flavor but very salty. plus, the ginger was pink. I have never wanted to call and get my money back from any take out restaurant before.
