I could not disagree more with the previous review (although each to their own). Both me and my wife go well out of our way to visit this quaint and understated Sushi oasis for three reasons: quality food, brilliant service and superb value. We have eaten at the most expensive sushi restaurants in Manhattan from Megu, Nobu and Blue Ribbon as well as a plethora of other locations. When it comes to value for money and delivering great sushi - Sakura Hana comes up trumps every time. I would highly recommend a Sakura Hana sushi experience to visitors or locals. Enjoy!

This place is so mind-numbingly mediocre that I have a really hard time understanding what's up with all the rave reviews. Ordinary slices of all the common fish you'd expect to find, reasonably fresh but not overly so, no special presentation on the plate, atmosphere is that of a drab place mostly geared towards deliveries (no decor, big T.V., etc.). I live nearby and believe me, I'd love for this place to be great, but it just ain't so. You are getting like a C+ sushi meal here.

This place has been here a long time. Food is fairly good though nothing amazing. I can't think of anything bad to say about it, but I can't say it's amazing either. Decor is low key and cozy, but a bit old. Overall, I'd say it's a dependable neighborhood joint, though not a spot for a special occasion.

Such nice staff, very fast service, and an all around great local west village place!

Given the state of overpriced over the top eateries in the neighbourhood I am so relieved that Sakura Hana continues to provide great food and service. Always fresh and fast delivery. Our family would not know what to do without it. Keep it up!

Don't be fooled by the no frills look of this place. The sushi is very good and service is great.

I have lived in Middle Village for a while now, and sampled nearly all of the sushi that downtown has to offer, from 15 East and Megu, to a hole in the wall on Bleecker. Sakura Hana hits the nail on the head when it comes to no-nonsense sushi. No frills, no scene....just seemed to be full of local regulars. We sampled all of the standards, and found everything to be perfectly fresh, and prepared with a smile. Everything was reasonably priced as well. That in itself is refreshing*... oh btw...stay away...this is my place now!
