    Save it for Take Out!

    I go here for take out about once a week - I always get the Bun Xao, very easy - it is ready within 5 minutes and I can take it back to the office with me. The people who work there seem to be hanging around a lot - I probably wouldn't choose it to sit down at - it's too huge.

    vietnamese version of Sbarro

    As a vietnamese patron, i was offended by this establishments sub-par food, incredibly unfriendly staff . With that being said...the spring rolls are subpar. Cheap ingredients and a sour fish sauce. Pho tasted like it came from an instant package. Satay was ok. Great decor, but the service was really slow. On teh bright side you only have to wait 10 minutes for a dish.

    Delicious appetizers in a clean restaurant

    This establishment serves the best sate and Vietnamese spring rolls. I have eaten chicken sate at various places. Here, the chicken was so juicy and tender. Also, the environment was clean. Next to the delicious food, the cleanliness of restaurant is a huge deal. The price was reasonable and we received our dishes pretty quickly.

    Great Vietnamese Food in NYC

    While the food may not be as authentic as fare one might find in Chinatown it is more suited to the American palate, and is delicious. Service is fast. Spring rolls, squid, pork chops, beef cubes, lemon grass soup with chicken, BBQ chicken with noodles, all excellent. Good take out, too.

    SG = Surreal

    We thought the boycott was over. So we went again after 1.5 yrs of staying away. We asked the waiter about the boycott - and he was very nice but let us know that it was still going on. Wish he had stayed our waiter - there was almost no one in the huge space which felt more like a department store than a restaurant. After our order, we had about 3 or 4 different servers - they would plunk our plates down without asking who had what - and walk away without saying anything. Same with dessert and the bill. Got the definite feeling they wanted us out of there. The girls at the front counter did nothing but laugh and giggle at each other. No one said "thank you," smiled, asked for dessert - just deadpan stares in the other direction. Have to say - food was pretty excellent though - had the basil chicken which was sublime and the okra - all very yummy! Guess the boycott has kept away any potential staff who have even basic manners. I hope they resolve it soon so that they either go the way of the dinosaur or hire some friendly wait staff - for now, it is a weird sort of purgatory.

    My new favorite restaurant

    I went there on a whim with my fiancee and boy was I not disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious. The drinks are amazing. I have been there many times and never am I disappointed. I understand when some people have commented that can feel like you are being rushed. It has happened to me once or so. But otherwise they are a pretty good. Also I have been there on a busy Saturday night many times and have never had to wait more than 20 minutes. But usually can be seating within 10 if not less. Everyone that I brought there has enjoyed the food and the drinks. Highly recommnended!!!
