Saigon Grill has great food! I would reccommend the Ga Noung Sate, Steamed Crystal Dumplings, Banh Hoi, and the Vegetable Spring rolls. They have great service. On the phone they don't have good hearing. Saigon Grill is a very higly recommended restaurant. Good Water and H20.

A few years ago, recent Michigan grads, my g/f and I were staying at an UWS brownstone B&B and were too hungry to hunt down a ?recommended? place, so we settled on the Vietnamese place up the street, which just happened to be this restaurant. We visited again tonight, months after moving to New York. It may not be entirely?authentic? cuisine (not that I have enough experience to judge this) and is set up to handle heavy crowds, but their prices are incredibly reasonable, the food is consistently good & generous, and the service is prompt, if not verbose.

Was it that my friend and I were absolutely famished or was it that the food was good beyond expectation. We shared a dragon roll - exquisite really- very flavorful with sesame seeds on top and a Curry Ga (Curried chicken with eggplant, coconut milk, onions, bell peppers....so, so yummy). The service could have been a little better, but to be just, I must say they were packed and busy. Not a very wide selection of desserts...but that is no reason to keep yourself from enjoying some really well prepared food for a reasonable price. The two dishes we ordered along with one order of sticky rice all came out to about $24. The atmosphere is quite nice as well.

Saigon Grill is an UWS treat for Vegetarians including Vegans. They have 9 Vegetarian entrees, including the simple but elegant Bamboo steamer. Appetizers including grilled sdewered vegetables and tofu, with peanut sauce and my favorite, the Summer Spring Roll. Veges enjoy!

My husband and I love the food a lot. We goes there quite often and also take the delivery. Everytime we call, we just feel uncomfortable with the person who takes the order. She is always rushing you even though you are still ordering.
