I LOVE this place... been coming since the mid 90's when they were over on Broadway in that tiny hole in the wall. Ten years later, I still love going for the spring rolls, beef cubes, and AMAZING crystal dumplings... mmmm.

I've been here several times with friends and the food is always tasty and it's a great value as well. Last week, however, the service was so amazingly bad - we were rushed through dinner, the server was rude to us, didn't bring us the correct plates or chopsticks, and then slammed the check onto the table as soon as a busperson came to take our plates. I don't know if this person was having a bad day or what - we did take a little more time than expected over the menu, but the rest of the meal shouldn't be a punishment for that. Overall I would probably go back, just because the food is really good, but I'd be on the lookout for bad service. No one should be subject to the way we were treated.

If you like Vietnamese food you will not regret setting your foot in this joint. Verves great vegetarian dishes as well, for those who do not eat meet, or sea food. Every dish we have had there was excellent. The beef papaya salad was like non I have ever had, with Smokey overtones. The Bun with grilled beef was superb! The Ga Chicken Satay was out of this world!

My boyfriend and I just moved from downtown to the UWS. Before the moved, I frequently ate at my favorite Vietnamese restaurant located in Chinatown called Xe Lua. I was convinced it was the only place that new how to make my favorite dishes. Being Vietnamese I could appreciate good Vietnamese food and I know good V-food. I discovered Saigon Grill a couple days ago and wanted to give it a try. I cannot emphasize how good the food, drinks, and the service are. My boyfriend could not stop thanking me for making the discovery. We were not only impressed with the food, but also the attentive and prompt service. I highly recommend Saigon Grill. We were sad to find out they do not deliver, but at least you know the service will be excellent and you definately will not be disappointed with the food.

I think this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in the City. There are variety of food that will suit every taste. The side condiment, hot sliced pepper, really brings out the flavor, if you are into spicy food. Overall, the food is great!!!

This place is the best Vietnamese in the UWS but it's too bad there's no delivery. I used to order from there all the time.
