I ordered from this restaurant from work as recommended by a co-worker. Tasty but small portions. But my fiance and I decided to go to the restaurant and we were very pleasantly surprised at the size of the in-house dinner menu portions. I love their grilled pork chops in the lemongrass, honey, lemon and garlic sauce with the pickled vegetables. Very very tasty and since the chops are cut thin, they are grilled quickly so they are not thick and tough. Their service is good in the sense that they are pretty quick to bring you what you ordered but they seem not to have much personality and cater to you because you are paying - not because they have any true regard for the dining experience of their customers. Come on - this is NEW YORK CITY, in a very touristy section of town. There will be many different folks walking through the doors but all the money is green. Humor us already and keep serving tasty cuisine.

I like food, but especially asian cuisine. This place is one of my all time favorites. Their portions are generous and their selections are to die for. It has a great space to throw a party and a wide variety of light and heavy vietnamese dishes. Definitely a place to return over and over again.

MUST TRY THE SPICY AND TASTY CHICKEN.! However since this is all I've tried from Siagon I cannot vouch for anything else, but I will certainly be ordering again.

I had dinner at Saigon 48 last night and was very pleased. We had the Vietnamese Pad Thai and the "Thin & Tender, Rice Crepes with Chicknen (#57). The Pad Thai was great! The "thin and tender crepes are actually Vietnamese noodles, not something one might use to "wrap" with. But the chicken was really tasty ... marinated and/or coated with something very tangy and perfect to flavor the chicken. The wait staff was very attentive. And, for a NYC restaurant there seemed to be plenty of room in the booth seating that we shared. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I look forward to going back. Oh, I the price ... two entrees and an appetizer cost about $26. Amazing. And, they are very conveniently located for theater goers.

This is my new favorite takeout spot in Midtown! Everything is consistently delicious and fresh, and delivery always goes without a hitch. I highly recommend the summer rolls- they are served cold, with sprouts and cilantro inside, and they are the perfect refreshing dish for summer. I've also gotten the most delicious roasted vegetables over vermicelli, and the L20 lunch special (mixed veg and vermicelli with a great sauce) is a wonderful bargain at $6.95 (large portion and comes with a spring roll). You can't beat that price, especially when you stop by to pick the food up. The first time I stopped in, I was surprised by the ambiance. The decor is well-appointed and modern, if a little noisy due to the crowds. When placing my order there in person, the host was careful to ask about my preferences (I ordered a veggie meal and he asked if eggs were ok). I was pleasantly taken aback that he bothered to take the time during the lunch rush. This place has become a weekly standby for me.

I really liked the place. Two of us went on a Sunday evening. We both liked the atmosphere. Nice place to socialize. The food was delicious. I had the Mango Jumbo Shrimp from the house special which comes with white rice and he had the Steamed Angel Hair Noodles with scallions fried shallots, roasted peanuts and choice of lemongrass grilled with shrimp. Although my dish was sweet it tasted really good and fresh.
