Great value with speed
Saigon 48 has become our default stuck-in-the-theater-district-for-lunch place. There is always a table (excellent turnover), the menu options are varied and appetizing, the service efficient and really speedy, and the quality of the food is very good. Oh, and the price cannot be beat for midtown, which is especially gratifying with theater ticket prices in the stratosphere.

You'll get addicted
I'm a crazy asian foodie and eat asian every night, without fail. My favorite dish is a seafood noodle soup, and I think this place has the best in the City. And surprisingly, it's cheaper than most other places. I walk almost two miles to get to this place and it's always a delight.

Superb price, food , location and atmosphere
All my family loved it! Since we didn't have vast experience in vietnamese food they suggested we try first their sample platter. Loved everything, specially the dumplings!

Delicious food, good price
I eat here often, and consistently find the food to be delicious and service prompt and friendly. Even before an evening show, the restaurant is quiet enough to talk, and doesn't feel rushed & crowded. one of my favorites!

Excellent meal and service
A friend recommended Saigon 48 for our dinner before a show. My pad thai was utterly delicious and enough for two people. Such a reasonable price, too! My friend was very happy with her meal as well. I hope to visit Saigon 48 on my next trip to New York.

great meal great deal before the show
glad i didn't read these reviews before choosing saigon 48 for dinner during my trip to nyc last weekend. service was attentive, food was delicious, and prices were very reasonable. the waiter knew we were crunched for time to get to a performance and he took care of us. i really don't know what everyone is complaining about!

Subpar Service and Bad Food
When I had entered the hostess was rude and not at all accomodating. She felt it was such a chore to seat us and rolled her eyes as she escorted us to our seats. The food was flavorless and not at all good. I should have known after reading other reviews but decided to give this place a chance. After complaining that the food was room temperature it is to my belief that the food was not cooked to order but heated in a microwave. Nothing was done to accomodate the order. I paid my bill and didn't leave a tip. Don't waste your money here.
