got the reasonably priced lunch special. Grilled chicken was dry and had no flavor. Marinated vegetables (staple of VN food) were tasteless except for taste of can they were recently extracted from. Spring-roll- no flavor. Rice was fine. There are much better mid town options although still no acceptable VN food.

I've been here quite a few times and the food has been excellent. I only get the beef pho lunch special but this time when I ordered it for takeout while on break I opened my top and saw that all of my beef was raw! The service has always been super quick but I could've waited a few more minutes for them to thoroughly cook my beef. I wish I was near this place when I noticed it, I would've taken it back. I will never go back again.

I had a meal delivered from this place and the food is great. I picked it at random whilst working late one night and I'm pleased with the results! I recommend it.. even if the receptionist found it hard to understand my accent (I'm from the UK)! I recommend it!

I have been here many times and this is an awesome place. The food is always fresh and satisfying. Issue during the last visit: We ordered food and it was still 3pm(Hence lunch price should be applicable). We were charged regular menu price on all the items instead of the lunch price. Please make sure that you get the correct price. This was probably a oversight as this happened only this recent time.

I think this place cured me of a lingering flu. I'm not kidding, I went into the soup weak and anxious, and I came out feeling like myself again. Just got takeout from this place, it was perfect pho delivered quickly in the Theater district. Piping hot upon arrival, the broth cooked the meat in my soup when I poured it in, which is how it should be. Very finely shaved onions, so much nicer than big chunks. The chili paste on the side was, gasp, something other than the ubiquitous Sriracha. And by something other I mean something much more delicious. Also, the delivery guy was one of the nicest and most inscrutable men I have ever met.

Saigon 48 has become our default stuck-in-the-theater-district-for-lunch place. There is always a table (excellent turnover), the menu options are varied and appetizing, the service efficient and really speedy, and the quality of the food is very good. Oh, and the price cannot be beat for midtown, which is especially gratifying with theater ticket prices in the stratosphere.

I'm a crazy asian foodie and eat asian every night, without fail. My favorite dish is a seafood noodle soup, and I think this place has the best in the City. And surprisingly, it's cheaper than most other places. I walk almost two miles to get to this place and it's always a delight.
