Good food
Try the Tavuk Shish- it's excellent. Also, they might have the best hummus in the city.

You must be kidding
Food is poor in this restaurant. I only come here to watch Turkish soccer games on their big screen tv's. I can't complain about that. The service people are very friendly. But the chef has to go. I have been to many Turkish restaurants in Manhattan, although he has his faults, Orhan Yegen's establishments cannot be beaten.

Zesty food and heart-warming environs
This is a gem of a restaurant! The food is wonderfully flavored with zesty combinations of vegetables, rice and other ingredients. Everything I've ever tried here (and I've been to this restaurant dozens of times) has been good, but two items deserve special mention. The first is the fresh, hot, fragrant bread that is served on a warm, wooden platter with the meze appetizers. It will change your mind about bread, and after eating this stuff, you'll never sign up for Atkins' diet! The second item that is truly stellar is the rice pudding - save space for dessert because you will not want to miss the savory custard of rice, milk and cinnamon served in a small, glazed ceramic pot. I could go on, but I'll end with one other favorite - the cigara boregi - warm puff pastry containing melted feta cheese. Simply to die for! Service is always warm and attentive, and on some nights, a flamboyant belly dancer entertains (and sometimes embarrasses) diners. Good fun for all around and everything at this restaurant is in the spirit of a family party. You'll be treated as one of them before you make it to the rice pudding!

I Love It
I absolutely love Turkish food and have tried numerous Turkish Restaurants in the city, but this place is amazing and affordable. The people are absolutely so great and very accomodating. If you like Turkish food, def. go try this place out.

excellent deal
Great substantial plates of well cooked food. The appetizers were fresh and well proportioned. The entrees were delicious (chicken kebabs and meatballs) but could have been larger. Big note for the service which was quite attentive.

really excellent food, eating there is a bit exspensive for me but worth it when i can, the bread is so excellent i highly reccomend eating it at the restaurant once to try it hot. the baba ganousjh is the best i've had in manhatten, the delivery is more affordable...fab sandwiches. nothing fancy but the meat is yummmy.
