Sahara's Turkish Cuisine

This is one my favorite places to go for lunch..Their lunch special is great, and the food is excellent! Their bread, shepard's salad, hummus, and chicken kabobs are all my favorites. Although for some reason their portions have gotten significantly smaller compared to last year, the food and the value is still fabulous!

I have eaten doners in 5 countries in dozens of locales, and this has to be one of my favorite places. The service is outstanding if you don't mind a little language barrier, and they give you a lot of little extras which make the prices on the menu a steal. Note that doner sandwiches are only available on the takeout/delivery menu.

Get alot of catering from this place and my clients are always pleased to hear it's "Sahara's". Delicious, simple, and healthy. The bread is unbelievable, the hummus is delicious and the shephard salad is a must-have. Dining is also wonderful - they take great care of you. The owner, Michael, is very hands-on and keeps the quality high.

Wow. I have never written a review, and I have to say, this food was AWESOME.....Had the chicken kebab and the classic Gyro. Fantastic. I will definitely order again/go to the restaurant. Delivery was fast, food and bread were hot.......Wow.

Don't hesitate, go! We stopped in just casually and had one of the most delicious meals we've enjoyed in NYC - and we have tried many restaurants. We shared a small mixed appetizer plate, followed by the mixed grill - it was all excellent. We will be back.

I go there regularly every week and it is probably the best Turkish restaurant in the city. The food is fantastic, service great and tab affoedable. I recommend to everyone!
