    Great Italian in the Heights

I've lived in the Heights for 11 years, and for the first 9 or so, finding good Italian food was near impossible. Then a miracle happened and Saggio's opened on 181st Street. It is some of the best Italian you'll find in NYC, and the atmosphere is cozy

Austin TX should be so lucky!

Our good friends took us here while we visited from Auatin, Texas and it's some of the best Italian I have had! Shaved Fennel Salad was to die for, and the crunchy bread and olives they bring out are this side of heaven. I'm vegetarian so had a wonderful

    Great Place

My wife and I go here regularly for brunch and it is great. The staff is friendly and responsive, the food is consistent and tasty, and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend it.

    Already an institution?

For Saggio to become a neighborhood mainstay in Wash. Heights is a double-edged sword. The atmosphere is great and the wine list is strong and fairly priced. However, while there are some dishes that are dependably wonderful like the calamari with black s

Another mediocre restaurant in the heights

Cute place. But you fall out of love quickly. I thought this place was going to be better. Ok atmosphere for a drink. Avoid the back patio. It's loud and filled with children running around.
