The food is sumptuous and delicious. Service is very smooth and personal. I wish the decor was better done but ignore the trappings and concentrate on the food. this restaurant is tucked away but worth looking for.

Why this restaurant always appears empty is beyond me. Ok, it is tucked behind a corner and may be easy to miss but still, the word should have spread by now. First, the food is not of that overspiced kind that is so prevalent in Indian restaurants around here. It is tasty without attacking you. Try chicken tikka masala, or korma, and taste what I mean. If you like Indian food but do not like to have the strong taste for hours or do not like your taste buds to be burned off forever, this is the place to go to. One of the people in our party did mention that seek kebab was not that great but even that person was very satisfied with his main dish. Second, staff is very attentive while not obnoxiously in your way. Sure, we were the only table in there at that moment but still, they are just fine. What else could you want? Tasty food, polite waiters, a neighborhood gem. Unfortunately, most of the times I pass by, the place is empty while the snobbish mediocre-at-best restaurant on the corner and tiny arrogant one next to Saffron Garden(neither of them Indian, though) are overflowing with people. It is to the point that, before trying it, we joked that great reviews must have been written by the owner's family. Well, now we started believing they were from real customers. If you are in the area, try it and let the rest of us know how it was.

I love this place sooo much! This is the best indian food I've had so far. The quality, the service, the food is awesome. People don't know about this place but if they did, it would be super packed because with such delicious food, excellent service, and cheap menu prices, I'd have to say every one of my experiences there was 5 stars.

This is quaint Indian restaurant is cozy and extremely authentic. Its food brought me back to India the moment I tasted it. The service was fast and the personnel very polite. I really enjoyed this restaurant and I will be going back soon and often because I have been thinking of how delicious everything was ever since I first went. I highly suggest the vegetable samosas! Enjoy, and don't be fooled by the atmosphere until you've tasted the food!!

New name, new decor, same fantastic food. Tulip is a humble little restaurant located on a humble little street, but don't let that fool you - this place has the best Indian food in the restaurant. They recently redid the interior, too, which has really enhanced the dining experience. Always fresh, always delicious, the service is fantastic and you can't beat the value.

The chef of Tulip used to work at a nearby Indian restaurant, so when he changed restaurants, so did I. This place has that same lovely warm atmosphere, and homey feel. The food is also really delicious, and very reasonably priced (less expensive than the previous restaurant). The fish tikka bhoona was absolutely wonderful, super tender, and the chana saag was so flavorful. I highly recommend Tulip, especially for families, but the quiet relaxed atmosphere also lends itself really well to date night. Next time you're in the mood for Indian food, try Tulip!
