After reading all the stellar reviews for Sacco, I was enthusiastic about ordering a large pizza to split between my boyfriend and me. I was sorely disappointed; the crust was lackluster, and not thin and crisp as some reviewers opined. The sauce was nondescript. It was $26, plus a $5 tip, for a lousy pizza with 3 ingredients. Never again will I do business with this rip-off establishment.

If you just want a slice, no frills, you will never find a better pizza. Vito and the guys are wonderful. I can't recommend this place enough; it mystifies me that I never see it on top pizza list (probably bc it is a secret dive). Ever since I moved from HK I rarely eat pizza bc nothing compares. I once saw an old timer in here who was saying the Sacco guys need to teach a class on how to make pizza. Truly, truly, the best slice you can get, with some of the nicest guys/family running the place.

I happened upon this place last Friday. Wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised when pizza arrived. Not only was it an enormous pizza, it was one of the best italian pizzas I have ever had. Great service, everyone was very accomodating. No ambiance, but if you are looking for great pizza at a good price, you will love Sacco's. I will definitely be back!

Been to this joint several times for the convenience. Pizza is good but somehow the taste varies each time. The one thing I don't like is that the slices contain minimal sauce. Also, slices are somewhat smaller than another joint.

I've tried all the pizza places and always come back to saccos. pizza by the slice $2.5. Who can beat that! Thin crust and always know exactly what I'm going to get.

I stumbled into this little pizza place a couple of years ago, hungry and not really caring what I had to eat. I was blown away by how amazing their pizza is. After I had left, I could not remember the name of the restaurant, but eventually, my friends kept talking about Sacco's on 54th and how great it was. When I finally went with them, it was like being reunited with a lost friend. Great pizza, friendly staff.

I've been going to Sacco's since I was around 5. Since then it is still the same great pizza that you can find especially in New York. Service is good and they have always kept their old look, which is nice...especially when you have been going as long as I have (16ish years). It nice to see familiar and friendly faces and have great food for a good price.
