Sacco Pizza

When I was introduced to this place, I was thoroughly impressed. Great slices, good balance between the crust/cheese/sauce and quality with all 3. I gave em 3 tries in the last few months, and it's as though it's a different place. The pizza isn't "bad" per se, but it's certainly not the same as it used to be. I'm wondering if there was some incident in the last year that would account for it... maybe they changed hands and made changes? Or the economy is forcing them to go to cheaper suppliers? Whatever it is, it hurt the quality a bit. It's still better than the surrounding joints in the immediate area, but definitely took a dip That said, the gaucho pie is still a nice little indulgence and that seems to be the same as usual.

Crust in doughy/chewy rather than crispy, sauce is flavourless and the cheese is "OK". Quality has gone down alot over past year

Sacco was always our "go to" place for great NY pizza. Alas, the Sacco we knew and loved seems to have disappeared. That great thin crust, that luscious flavor, is no more. Now the crust is thick and doughy and the sauce seems straight out of a can. Will the old reliable Sacco ever return? We hope so!

This place has been here for decades, and remains the best single slice in the area. Very thin, crispy and delicious. Nothing fancy or extravagant; just a straightup great slice. My personal favorite is a plain cheese slice and yours will be too.

Cheese was nicely baked and crust was crisp. Delivery was quick and they have sausage rolls and beef patties!

The best pizza bar none. You order individual slices that aren't related, you get home to eat and you have 0 crossover of flavor. Speaking of flavor....how do you say perfection sans cursing?! And the continuous positive energy from the entire staff doesn't hurt. Just sayin.
