Hidden gem
I am very picky about mexican food. And there are so many that prance around being all trendy, BUT this one is actually really really really good. Suprisingly happy with the chorizo and the mole. Both are very hard to get right. I am a picky eater, and hard to satisfy. Outstanding.

Phenomenal
We order regularly and are never disappointed. Food is fresh, hot and packd with flavor. For the price it's the best.

great mexican on UES
i've been here for two years and finally found a good Mexican joint. Cilantro made me sick both times I went there, and no one else (w/ the exception of Blockheads in the 40's) really compares to the takeout my wife and I just had. The Chef's Tex-Mex Burrito Amigos were out of this world--they were well made, hearty and delicious. I had the steak, she had the chicken, and shazam, both were great.

Muy rico!
This place is great! Ever since I first happened upon this little restaurant, I can't help but eat the tamales at least once or twice a week. After eating tamales on the road-side in Baja, I'd been craving that experience, and this comes close. Small, friendly and great food, especially for the price.

Delish
I've lived on the UES for 2 years and have been looking for my mexican take-out staple. Search over. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Taco Salad and was very pleased. The chicken and vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. It came with small cups of sour cream, guac and pico on the side. Once I finished eating the salad I broke apart the tortilla and ate it with the guac. Exactly what I expected and wanted. Can't comment on the atmosphere since I ordered delivery but the delivery was super-fast and courteous. Highly recommended.

Not Real Mexican Food
I will keep this simple. Food- Below average, had no flavor and the burritos had no onion or tomato or lettuce or cheese! What kind of burrito is that! also for a chorizo burrito the flavor was non existent. The the chicken on the nachos was stale. Service- I got delivery and had extreme trouble with the woman who took my order. I was told after i ordered that it would be $59.79 Twenty minutes later i recieve a call saying she added it up wrong and the price would be $75.79. I made a point to ask for the amount when i ordered because i only had so much cash on me and needed to know if i should put it on a credit card. After she tells me that she made the mistake of incorrectly adding up my bill says she cannot take my credit card or cancel my order because the food is on the way. after bothering me for another 5 minutes on the phone and telling me she will lose her job if i dont take the food she finally says that she will leave the bill at $59.79. the bottom line is that with other options youre better off getting some killer authentic Mexican food with flavor somewhere else
