I used to work in midtown and used to frequent Dynasty (this was more than 15 years ago). I used to love this restaurant. I went a couple of years ago and had a very bad food experience. It was a Sunday and it was lunch (not prime-time I guess because the restaurant was empty). The food was not good. I decided to give it one more try this past week. Again, it was subpar. Some of the dishes came out cold and nothing was very good. Even the pork dumplings were flat tasting. All I can say is, "yuccchhhh" and that's it for me and Dynasty.

I have never had worse Pad Thai in my life. Do yourself a favor and pass this place up!

Great Chinese restaurant. Food was fantastic, but this comes up under searches for Thai. They have a few items, but if you want Thai, it def won't cut it. The service was also really slow.

S. Dynasty was recommended to me. It was described to have wonderful food and impressive service. I walked into the restaurant and was impressed with how clean it was. No "oily" smell that normally greets you in an Asian restaurant. I was warmly welcomed by a lady greeter and escorted to my seat. I looked at the menu and was impressed with the choices. Suffice it to say that when my meal came, I liked what I saw...detail was given to the presentation of the meal. The quality of the food was superb! Best Chinese food ever. Will definitely recommend this place to friends.

I've eaten here almost weekly and while the service and sometimes the food has its less than sterling days, those are very rare occassions. The staff is good, the food is very good, and I've yet to find anything on the menu I could say was disappointing. Value for dollar, this is one of my favorite places to eat in the area for Chinese food. Even when they're not on top form, it's still very good.

Just finished eating takeout from this place. The reviewer below me hit the nail on the head. The pad thai tasted nothing like pad thai - no flavor at all Wouldn't go back - relatively inexpensive but still a waste because the food wasn't good. Soup mediocre at best - both the chicken corn soup and the hot and sour. I must agree that the fortune cookie was probably the best part of the meal.

I recently started a new job on the east side and referred to menu pages for a great Thai place. I was disappointed. First - the address is listed as Lexington, but the entrance is on 48th - ok - no big deal. I went in to place my order and was greeted instantly. However, as soon as I asked a question about the take out menu I was treated as though I were a peon. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and the menu clearly says at the bottom, next to the spicy asterisk "We can accommodate your needs - let us know if you prefer it not spicy." So...I asked for the dish to be mild and the reply was "It's pre-made." I should have left then, but was craving Thai. I got the food back to my office and all I have to say is - subpar. It tasted nothing like any pad Thai I have ever had. It wasn't sweet or spicy - it had no flavor at all! Besides - there was nothing but noodles and chicken. I know every place is different, but usually there is some kind of additional ingredient (scallion,corn,something!). Besides that - the menu says that it comes with salad. My old Thai place also came with salad - it was real lettuce, cucumber and dressing. I don't know what this salad was - it looked like worms and smelled like vinegar. The only pluses I give this place - it looked pretty in the dining area and the fortune cookie was good.
