A nice winter's lunch.
During the cold months I love this kind of food. I had the lunch special with chicken soup and cheese pierogies, plus a tea and some cookies. It was all very good. The service was a little slow and the waitress could have used a personality, but I guess you can't have anything.

Dont bother
I have eaten here many times, usually take out. Recently I've tried to get delivery. Most of the time I end up on hold for a very long time, and then it takes FOREVER to get the person on the other line to get my address right. The last delivery I received took over an hour and a half and I only live a few blocks away. I get the feeling they don't want to do delivery service, which if that's the case then don't. It's much better than being evasive on the phone and giving your customers the run around on their address. And just to clarify, it's not a language barrier that's the problem.

Cozy Polish Restaurant
I've lived in NYC for only 3 weeks and I've already eaten at S&B 4 times. It's centrally located where all the Williamsburg action is, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and completely unpretentious. The food is general eastern European, polish, hungarian, etc. The goulash and potato pancakes with a side of spinach and one of beets is yummy and enough for two meals. The prices are very reasonable and the sweet polish waitresses take great care of you. If you want a restaurant where you can have an inexpensive yet delicious meal, and which is so comfortable that you don't even mind going by yourself, this is definitely it.

I have tried everything on the menu
From there pancakes on a Sunday morning, There split pea soup with kielbasa for lunch, With a side order of mixed fried pierogies. For dinner you can't go wrong with the Polish platter, Which has a little bit of everything. Or one of there favorites is the breaded fried or grilled pork cutlet smothered in fried mushrooms & onions, That also comes with way too much awesome mashed potatoes and 2 other vegetables. For dessert I recommened the apple fritters or the cheese and blueberry blitzer's, They are made fresh and tasty. So do drop by the S&B for a good Polish meal, Served by some of the most beautiful and friendly Polish girls that you will ever meet.

S & B great polish food
I've eaten here several times and never had a bad meal. I recommend getting a platter; everything is good. If you like kielbasa, pierogi, or stuffed cabbage or any polish food, check it out.
