had to wait 45 mins for the food to come out... with one of the orders came out extremely raw... manager came out and told us we'd get a free dessert, but they charged for it anyway... I always get the porterhouse for 2 when I go to any prime steakhouse.. but this one was subpar. if you're going to drop 80 bucks on steak, why would you go here?

I'm not sure where to start. I was so disappointed by this place. Not only did the shrimp taste very low quality and likely frozen, the "lump crab meat" tasted like it came straight from a can. The service wasn't much better incredibly aloof to the point of being somewhat rude. I asked for my water glass to be filled twice, and we were completely done with dessert before the coffee even came out. The decor wasn't much better.

I ate here for the 2nd time last week. Vowed to not go again after the first time but it was a work-dinner. This is a poor place to blow $ on steaks in NYC.

Good steaks, friendly waitress, but the main dining room at the back is pretty depressing. We had one starter, two steaks and nothing but regular water, and the bill was $150. Not a patch on Wolfgang's.

Wonderful selection for all pallets. We made our reservations on line and were greeted and sat exactly on time. Every staff person we came incontact with spoke to us warmly. Our waiter Chris was attentive and helpful . As a vegetarian I worried but Chris was eager to create a wonderful dining experience for me. My husband enjoyed his steak as "the best he ever had" . The service and portion sizes grand! My daughter ( also a vegetarian) will be visiting NYC for the first time with me and I 'm sure we will eat here!

Came aware it was expensive but knowing that good steak is always worth it. It was very good steak I cant deny that. In terms of meat quality its hard to choose between the best New York steak places (Lugers, Sparks, Dylan Prime etc..) they are all so good and around the same price so you need to judge on different criteria. The service is very formal, I guess some people like that. I think the server should adapt to the people they are serving. It was also not very good, the server was never there when you wanted him and at one point just walked off while one of our party was trying to talk to him. Most annoyingly our Entrees arrived when we had not finished our apps which made us feel really rushed. Everything arrived too quickly, we were out by before 9 for a 7.30 reservation and we had apps, entrees and coffee! So, the food. I had the tomato and onion salad, nice big tomatoes but such a mediocre dressing, I'd expect better from my local deli. Both the mash and the creamed spinach were good but not exceptional but the potato gratin? OMG It was just potatoes covered in bright orange cheese, I wouldnt be suprised if it came from a packet! To summarise: Awesome steak but just not worth the money for the whole experience.
