A mediocre steakhouse
The food was quite mediocre. This restaurant is one I would expect to find more in the suburbs (of Wyoming!) Soup or salad, one dessert? The salad was wilted mesclun, with one pathetic grape tomato cut in half, and the dessert was overly sweet and poorly made cheesecake. There are infinitely much better steakhouses in NYC. Is there even a chef in the kitchen? For these choices a chef would be superfluous, and certainly did not seem that way by the food and its preparation.

Believe
You can believe all the good reviews. I've been here 4 times in 2 years and it has always been excellent. My friend walked out with a $500 gift certificate to give as a gift.

Best Chain Steakhouse!
So my brother was in town from Ohio and asked that our family dinner be held in a real NY Steakhouse. So naturally I hopped on to menupages to check the reviews and Ruth's Chris seemed like the best bet and it was great! The service was really excellent. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the petite filet mignon (6 oz) with lobster tail and it was perfectly cooked and extremely tender. We went with the lighter green vegetable side dishes of baby spinach, asparagus and broccoli. The big surprise was the sweet potatoes which were awesome. It was exactly what my brother was looking for—a great NYC meal. It was pricey, but worth it.

If u love ribeye, not going there would be crime
I took my gf there for her birthday. Had a bone-in ribeye myself. Trust me when I say it, one of the best ribeye I had in my life. They really know the true meaning of medium rare steaks.

Crabtini
Let's start with what I don't like, the Stuffed Chiken Breast; that's it folks, give me everything else. I would reccommend the Mushrooms Stuffed with Crabmeat, the Crab Cakes & the Ruth Chris Chopped Salad. The Lamb Chops are meaty, sizzling and delicious but the crabtini is the thing to order. Do not skip the Crabtini, no one else has something like it! I wish they would offer differnt size portions because I could have that as the main course if offered in a larger portion. All desserts are delicious.

Ate there in Aruba
Had the crabcakes for an Appetizer, a porterhouse, potatos and creamed spinich, Bottle of $50 cab. All joking aside, it was better than my last experience at Peter Lugers (which was subpar). The potatos were some of the best I have ever had (some type of sliced potato and onion), the steak was delicious. I am definitely going to think about going in the city next time i have a craving. I would label this meal as a "big surprise".

Perfect Evening
I recently dined at Ruth's Chris with my boyfriend and 2 other couples we had in town visiting. It was quite a wonderful experience for all of us. We try to avoid chain restaurants since living in NYC we have so many other options but this never felt like a chain restaurant experience. All of the staff, from the hosts to the servers were attentive, friendly, and knowledgable. The food was fantastic from start to finish and the drink selection was also quite extensive. I will definitely be returning to Ruth's Chris in the near future!
