    Samovar the Great

Went for the 1st time this week. Food was good but it took a long time to come. I had the Duck it was great and my date had the Pelmini. Both meals for some reason reminded me of Chinese food. The eggplant caviar reminded me of Progresso eggplant anitpasto in a can but was great. Dessert was good, Creme Brulee. Cappacino was strong! Service was good and I would good back again. I wish I had some eggplant caviar right now!

    Totally fun experience

Great atmosphere and music. I've been to Russia but once, but my visits to Samovar are the next best thing. Speed of service is spotty (sometimes too long, sometimes too short!), but the food is authentic and tasty, and you can't get beat the music and the flavored vodkas!

    So so food

I went there with my American friends to give them a taste of Russian food. First off, it took forever to arrive, second, they brought 2 dishes out and then 15 min later, they brought the rest out. It was like being back in the former USSR again. Brought back a lot of memories I didn't want. The salads and the soups were okay, but the main couses were so so. I tasted all the dishes on the table. Needless to say, to make up for the so so food experience, I threw a russian dinner at my house the weekend after. The restaurant is a monument Chekhov's Uncle Vanya play and the inside decor is neat, but there are better options for Russian food.

    So pleasantly surprised

enjoyed this restaurant immensely - service wonderful, food especially the duck was wonderful. Flavored vodka shots highlight of the night - disappointed at limited flavors but settled for yummy apple cinammon. Dined after 8 pm as suggested - thoroughly enjoyed - can't wait to go back!!

    You have to go....

This place is off the charts. Food is fantastic and the booze flows like it should at a Russian establishment. The flavored vodkas are fantastic and the atmosphere is second to none.

    Wonderful experience

You might as well hop on the next flight to Moscow. This place is very authentic. The piano player even looks like Vladamir Lenin! The food was very good, the service was second to none. Would go back anytime. I also like the variety of homemade flavored vodkas.
