    Weird behaviors

The food was fine but the behavior of our waitress and another waiter was just plain odd and unprofessional. While our waitress was nice and did not mess up our order, she asked if we were ready to place our order then disappeared after we said yes. Literally just walked away as if we said we werent ready. Then i realized it was because another table asked for their check. She shouldve waited for our order then rung them up. Then later as we were still eating our main courses, she asked us if we wanted dessert. UHM...i'm still eating? And I can't forget to mention the waiter who too, seemed nice but he bounced around, talked really loud and addressed people like "Hey man, be right back with ya!" from like 5 feet away. We aren't in a sports bar.

not sure why it has bad reviews

We were looking for a late lunch and this was recommended by the Ritz. The food was delicious, service great, kitchen was fast, wine was chilled, desert was excellent. Based on earlier reviews can't be sure if this was an anomaly or they have turned it around.

    From good to bad

This place has seriously gone downhill over the past couple of years. I used to think the food was pretty consistent and a good value but the last couple of times I went here I was very disappointed. At this point it is almost equal to le express which is a fair priced french diner. The mussels I had last time were fishy, way overcooked and gritty not to mention cold and the white wine was served warm. When I asked for a chilled glass of white wine they brought back the same wine in a chilled glass. Big turn off on a hot summer day when you just want a glass of crisp cold white wine. I also will say that I feel that the dishes (especially the sushi) are way overpriced and just average. The service was okay but since I went on a Monday it was obvious that the B team was in full effect. Will not be returning back here.

    Not recommended

We ordered skirt steak and a hamburger. Skirt steak was as tough as rubber with a freaky mixture of some odd veggie and chopped avocado (duh!), hamburger arrived cold and when asked for Wortchester sauce they wouldn't bring a full bottle just gave about 4 tablespoons in a small plate. The place had an unpleasant odor like stinky cheese. The noise level was such that you had to scream to hear each other.

    Happy hour!

This was a great after work stop before the girls and I head out on the town. The wine was great and the pear salad was very nice. Good place for a drink and something lite to eat.

Cool NYC atmosphere , skip the food

On "Girls" weekend, we sat down at the sidewalk table for a evening of drinks and appetizers. As the glasses of wine kept flowing ,the food wasn't getting better. We had burned bread which we asked to return for a fresh loaf and the waiter replied, " Uh, that's how they make them". We ordered the yellowfin tuna that was not good. However, we did like the shrimp roll sushi. The prices were high and we did not think it was worth it.
