Great
I love this place. Everyone's friendly, food is always fresh and awesome, and great drinks. I try to go there as often as possible.

Great new addition to the neighborhood
I stopped in to Rucola with two friends, one of whom was a vegetarian, and all three of us left quite satisfied. The ambiance is lovely (very similar to Vinegar Hill). Our waitress was helpful without being overbearing and gave some great suggestions. The food ranged from good to very good, though the highlight was the chocolate pudding we shared for dessert.

Love it
Great food and drink, super close to my house. It's quite popular so go early or be prepared to wait (albeit with a tasty cocktail)

Miffed by the service
As is becoming increasingly common among new Brooklyn restaurants, Rucola seems to have adopted a snobbish attitude after opening. Husband and I went one Friday evening. Reservations for two not accepted (sigh), so we were hopeful when we saw three open tables - two two-tops and one four-top. After waiting ten minutes (no exaggeration, we timed it) at the doorway for the host to pay attention to us, we were told the wait was 45 minutes! The host couldn't be bothered to wait the 30 seconds my husband and I were taking to decide on what to do and rushed us for an answer with an attitude. Logically, we left. As much as we believe in supporting small neighborhood restaurants, we will gladly take our money and good reviews elsewhere when treated so poorly.

awesome new place
Pros: Delicious food, warm & friendly service, great vibe, tasty cocktails, totally reasonable prices Cons: a bit cramped space-wise We had a really lovely dinner here. We'll be regulars, I can tell already.
