Delicious
I rarely write reviews but was so happy with my dinner tonight I was compelled to. My order arrived promptly. Everything tasted extremely fresh and not at all greasy. Chicken vindaloo was tangy and lick-the-plate amazing and not heavy like other places prepare it. Saag paneer, too, felt lighter than typical places do it, and had a delicate essence of Ginger. Seriously delicious Indian that left me satisfied and in spice heaven. Bravo.

Tasty and great value
This is a great find amongst the sea of expensive and mediocre food establishments in the Financial District. Lunch deal is 50% discount - portions were ample, food was tasty with excellent vegetarian choices and service was very attentive. Quality Indian food which is hard to find in this city. Been to Ruchi once this week, going for a second time today! That good!

OK Indian Food
Not the best food, pretty generic Indian.

Great Find
Found this restaurant when I was looking for a decent place to eat late on a Sunday night in lower Manhattan. My wife and I have eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants and most have the exact same menu items. Ruchi not only had several dishes I had never come across before but also offered both South Indian and North Indian specialties -- a rare occurrence. I loved the food so much that I came back twice in one week, something I’ve done only one other time in my life. Prices are very affordable and the portions are huge. One meal lasted 3 days. Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing Food
I ate here after reading the reviews on this site. This is some of the best Indian food I've ever had. I had the vegetarian thali lunch special. Everything was so flavorful and delicious, I actually came back three days in a row (but then had to go to the gym!). Also, you get a good amount of food for the price. I have recommended Ruchi to others and they agree. Great food!

Pleasantly surprised
We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and service at this little dive spot across from the WTC. We eat indian food often and have our favorites around the city and in NJ and this ranks up there with them. We expected mediocre but had a wonderful, tasty vegetarian meal cooked to order (extra spicy) with fresh, delicious food and lovely presentation and great friendly service. The tables and chairs look like fast food but the atmosphere is cozy and warm in any case with the colorful lanterns and the view of the WTC buildings.

Best Indian food!!
We've ordered from this place multiple times (in fact every chance we get!) and it never disappoints. The food is always prepared fresh and tailored to our requests. The wait for delivery is never more than 30 minutes. We don't even have the right words to describe just how good this place is. It's not in a great location so it sometimes looks empty during dinner, but don't let that deter you or let that sway your decision to eat there or order in. This place is fantastic!
