    Nice Place

I read about this place in a culinary magazine. We didn't have a reservation, but were seated. The woman who took our order and explained the menu was nice, but a bit of a snob. Our server, however, was quite nice. When in NYC again, I'd like to try their pizza. Their pasta was delicious.

    Gluten Free Menu!

What a surprise--this place has an entire gluten free menu, including pizzas, pastas, and much more. What a fabulous surprise. The pizza is expensive, but hey, it's gluten free!

So far, Rubirosa has been pretty good in terms of the food itself, but the service makes me think it's being managed by a bunch of people with no experience. My first time there, I was charged for two pizza's instead of the two slices I ordered. Not a huge deal, but a waste of time when I had to follow up to make sure they voided the transaction. The next time, with a party of four, one dish came out after 30 minutes. Another dish came out 15 minutes later, followed by the couple of slices the other two people had ordered. Ironic since slices take the least amount of time to prep. Anyhow, with as many good spots as the neighborhood has, especially for Italian/pizza, I'll probably pass on this spot next time.
