Mediocre
The empanadas were filling, but the Argentine sausage tasted like bland ground beef and the spicy chicken empanada lacked flavor and had a zero spice level.

Not worth, plenty of better places in NYC
I got a microwave reheated tasteless empanada for $4! There are plenty of places that sell the authentic Argentinean style empanadas around queens or Brooklyn. Don’t even waste your time with this franchise.

subpar service
Service was so bad - they wouldn't let us even eat our food in the restaurant. Said the policy was to not allow eating in within a half hour of closing. For real? So we didn't order.

one problem
reubens is among the best when it comes to empanadas and quick food. this place is a fairly new location, big, and clean, the only problem i have with it is the empanadas are microwaved in front of you and look mass produced compared to all of the other locations. in my opinion, im sticking to the broome street location and the fulton street location.

To Die For
These were by far the best empanadas I have ever eaten. My friend and I must have eaten 3 each. As we were getting ready to leave, the man behind the counter thanked us with a smile, and gave us an apple empanada on the house. I just wish Ruben's was closer to my house.

Not worth the dough ....
The place was cute. The service subpar and rude...only one person and not a nice one at that, I would rather save my money and take the subway to Jamaica Queens for better empanadas. Everyone do yourself a favor and skip this stop.

Worth the stop!
We had the whole wheat spinach empanada and spice tofu and both were terrific. The atmosphere was laid-back and low profile, which we liked. The place was showing Star Wars III so that was pretty neat. Service was friendly.
