Ive been to some of the best bbq restaurants in the world, and this place is the best. i would take rub's pulled pork, burnt ends, and sauce over arthur bryant's in kansas city any day.

i have heard about rub for quite a while and have been dying to try it. ive been quite disappointed with other bbq places and was pleasantly surprised by rub, especially for take out. the pastrami is absolutely amazing and the brisket was pretty good as well. it is pricey, but you get what you pay for so no complaints here on the quality end! im looking forward to coming back with my boyfriend and sampling some of the other meats. the only complaint which i have is that there are only a limited amount of side dishes and their collard greens contain pork, which i do not eat.

The food is really good - pricey though, which deters us from going as often as we otherwise would. The past 2 or 3 times we've ordered, we get the same delivery guy who drives us crazy. He insists on putting on a big show about the 3 flights of stairs he's just climbed (it's new york walk-ups - give me a break), and no matter how you try to rush him thru this annoying "routine" of his, he still has to gasp for breath for a solid 2 minutes before exchanging the food for $. Obviously working the tip, and working our nerves to the point that we no longer order at all from RUB.

The first time I tried RUB I was dissapointed however two subsequent visits have been quite nice. Is it the end-all best ever BBQ hands down...prob not....but it is at least very good BBQ and the $19 two-meat 2-side combo is a great value for NYC and the meats I have tried have all been very good...esp surprising was the pastrami. Good selction of beers, friendly service, realistic prices...a good place to have around.

This place is a joint. Its down and dirty. Its not fancy, the BBQ takes center stage here. Maybe the best bite of bbq in the world comes from here. That would be the Burnt ends. Moist, tender and oh so flavorful. The baby back ribs are out of sight. The baked beans are the best i've ever had. No visit would be complete with out a few deep fried oreo's. Anyway as you can tell I really like this place. Give it a try. Thanks to menupages for turning me on to this joint...happy food hunting.

Gave this place three tries. Tonight was the last. First time bacon ends were available, Not worth the $. One slice of thick cut for $7.95. Ribs dry, sides not worth the $ either. Left there hungry, Food not worth it. Service was very good!

Went there last night after reading good reviews and saw Bobby Flay from Food Network go there for their wings and raved about them. I ordered the wings, the baby back ribs, and onion strings. The wings were pretty good...spicy and tangy. I would've liked for them to be a little sweeter. The baby back ribs were good. I wish they came with a side. The onion strings were excellent though. The meal was acceptable. Wasn't great. I've had better. It also made me really thirsty afterward. Kept chugging water long after the meal.
