I love bbq and I try to eat at a new bbq joint whenever possible. This place was good, but the baby back ribs were not that tender. You can find more tender ribs at the chains than here. The sides were great and very generous portions. My main problem issue with the place was that I wanted a half a rack of ribs and pulled pork, which they had no problem doing until the check came. It turns out my meal cost $28. They charged me for two dinners instead of the 2 meat combo. I guess I have to be more careful next time I order there.

I just found this palce and it rocks. Finally a real bbq joint in NYC. There is nothing fancy going on here just great smoked meats. The Ribs are great as is the brisket. The baked beans are the best i've ever had. The other sides are all excellent. If and when you go the deep fried Oreos are a must.. Great BBQ in a real BBQ joint setting

Just recently ate here - - the food was ok, but not terrific. We ordered some appetizers and I was surprised that the hush puppies did not come with any dipping sauce, just some butter. My brisket meal was sort of dry, and I had to put a ton of sauce on it just to give it flavor. I was annoyed that my cornbread counted as one of my two sides. The baked beans were by far the best thing I ate. We also had the deep fried oreos. They were really good. Our waiter was nonexistant for most of the meal, to the point that when our meal was served I realized I had no silverware, so I had to find an empty table and help myself since no one was obviously bringing me anything. I think this is a great place for a big group of guys who want to stuff themselves and don't care about the overly fried food.

The food was delicious and I am a fussy eater and my daughter is as well and she ate everything on her plate. Finger licking good.

I ate here with my girlfriend as we have been surveying what NYC has to offer in terms of BBQ. I was disappointed with the BBQ sausage and brisket I ordered. The menu offers a disclaimer that the food may be served at room temperature. Mine was served cold. The brisket was tough and dry, the sausage was cold and also dry. The pulled chicken sandwich was decent as were the collard greens with bacon. Fried Oreos are the best thing on the menu. I guess I should have had the pulled pork. Our service was prompt and polite. I would not recommend this place to a friend: overpriced and mediocre.

I've never eaten at this place but just started ordering delivery... and now I am a life-long fan! The pulled pork sandwich is so tender and flavorful. Potato salad and baked beans are good but I live for the pulled pork. And the sweet tea is sooooo refreshing. Minimum $15 order for delivery is steep, esp for a work lunch, so I guess I'm going to have to start enlisting some colleagues to become fans with me.

I love this place! The brisket, the pulled pork, the ribs -- they're the best in town. The sides are super, too, particularly the potato salad and the most excellent baked beans -- what flavor!. The onion strings are a great starter -- and I'm not a fan of onion rings. I can't think of anything else to write, except that it's just great, reliable, and reasonably priced. Sit in the back room if you can, away from the bar and TV.
