the wings here are really, really good. REALLY good. grilled, w/ a zesty sauce. as a buffalo ex-pat, i've had my share, and as a travelling consultant, would often get wings (and ceasar) for dindin. these rate along w/ "alternate" recipes, along w/ great lost bear in portland, ME. the Q is good, as well.

I got the 2 meat platter, choosing BBQ chicken and the smoked ham... I was disappointed. The meat was dry and lacking in flavor, so much so that I wasn't upset about the small portions. I had wanted to go here for so long and was ultimately disappointed with the result. I won't go again.

I went here today for lunch at about 12. It was not crowded at all and we sat down immediately. The service is par, so no complaints. The food is AWESOME. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was one of the best I have ever had. You have to order fries separately, but you can definitely split them because the individual portion is a ton (only $3.50). The pulled pork was very tender and juicy. I will definitely be going back here.

Simply the most authentic BBQ in the region. These guys are well schooled in the art of smoking meat. I have eaten here since the beginning, and I will allow there have been a few RARE misses, if I want real BBQ this is where I dine. The sauce is somewhere between KC and Memphis. I find it well balanced a perfect compliment. Stars on the menu... The Bacon App. (which I hear was inspired by Benton's Country Hams)... The Baron (I would share this unless you have prepared) The Baby Backs OUTSTANDING... The Burnt Ends and of course Deep Fried Ribs, both are sinful and satisfying. For sides I stick to slaw(mayo), beans and greens all of which are solid. For lunch the Pastrami Sandwich is perfect, very NY version of BBQ. I've been more times than I can count and I still haven't been able to eat the deep fried oreos at the end of my meal. I guess that means I can't control myself with the BBQ.

First off RUB is great bar-b-que. Everything my friends and I tried was absolutely delicious. It was a great experience and one that I look forward to having again. That said, the quality of the meat was not the best I have had in nyc. The meat and rub at Fette Sau is notably better - this is not to say that RUB is not fantastic, it is. The sides and sauce at RUB are better, but as any self respecting southerner will tell you, the sauce doesnt matter as it should be unnecassary on good bar-b-que. Basically, you cant go wrong with either place, but for my money I am heading to billy burg.

I'm a transplanted southern BBQ "expert" and RUB is still the best pulled pork I've tried - anywhere! My only gripe is that their service can be slow, especially given that BBQ is fully cooked ahead of time and just needs to be dished out and delivered to the table. Otherwise, pork and ribs are amazing, love the greens 'n beans. Good selection of beers and delivery was speedy enough when I used it.

I am a big fan of your food. I love the burnt ends and the ribs, BUT, most of the times I call for delivery or I stop by for a take out. You used to have a great guy in the to go section, he was so friendly and fast with the packing of the food, even when he was so busy with big orders. Now the girls in the section (all of them) are slow, not so helpful and they keep forgetting items. The only reason why I keep ordering (now less than before) is because I love your food.
