    Great Authentic Thai

My idea of Thai food was what I had in Bangkok living there for three months and eating street and market food (not restaurant food catering to tourist buds). This one is the closest I've got in Midtown (at least the ones I've tried (more than 20!). I even had som tam -- papaya salad, which is not found in fusion asisan restaurant. i also like the family feel to it, i.e., not fancy. I would highly recommend for Thai food lovers and those wanting to taste what real thai food is.

    Wow!

This place is awesome! They have some very unusual dishes for a Thai place and the standards as well. Short rib dumplings and curry puffs rule. Hands down the best puffs I' ve had in the city. Ruay noodle with beef is unexpected in the context of Thai food, but a great adaptation! What puts this place over the top is that they have a super thought out beer list, and at near bargain prices for a restaurant. Plus I rarely see a nice selection of alcohol at a low to mid price range Asian spot, and they give you a discount when you order beer for delivery.

    Worst Thai Specials

This place has the worst Thai specials. The prefix lunch menu includes only appetizer and your choice of Pad Thai, curry, etc. The summer rolls are disgusting! They use some kind of green noodles with avocados, lettuce, bean , etc. Instead of a fish sauce or peanut sauce... is some weird yellow Mayo texture peanut sauce for dip. Doesn't have any flavor! The Pad Thai was too sweet. No dessert and full price drinks.

    Garlic, a lot of it.

I have actually never written a review before. My disappointment began simply on opening the delivery cartons. All I could smell is garlic and the scent of cool food having sat out for about an hour (would explain the hour plus delivery time). The guy on the phone was super nice but, mark my words, there is NO good Thai in midtown East and do not fall into false hope with this option. I truly felt my 50$ (for one! btw) would have been better spent on mediocre sushi.

    Outstanding food, great value

So nice to have a great new place - just had a delivery. Vegetable curry dumplings were outstanding as were the spinach and ricotta special dumplings. The steak entree was a hugely generous portion and a great cut of meat, delicious marinade as well. The Jungle curry was well spiced and lots of nice vegetables. Love to support local places, this is a new favorite. They were even terrific on the phone when placing the order.
