Limited
went here last night, menu selection is slim. a few burgers, a chicken sandwich, chicken fingers and fries. the bar is immaculately clean and has a great outdoor area. being not in the mood for a burger, i got the chicken fingers which were not great, but sustainable. the burger my friend got looked pretty good. but lets be honest, its not the best burger in nyc. Corner Bistro is. But for the east village, you probably have your winner right here for the lack of good burger places. And by the way Blue 9 doesn't count as a good burger place.

Amazing
Easily one of the top 2 or 3 burgers i've ever had. great brioche-type bun, well seasoned w/ salt and pepper, fresh ripe tomatoes and lettuce, juicy, flavorful. just amazing. way better than peter luger's for same price. only burger better maybe is dumont burger - but that's over twice the price.

The perfect burger
I have eaten burgers everywhere in the city. I make it a point to try them all because a good burger is my favorite meal. The Royale with cheese has taken the cake. It's absolutely perfect. If you haven't tried one yet... go now. The table service is not so great. The waitress doesn't write down orders and looks a bit confused, but the bar service is always great! So... get down the Ave C, and try the burger, and don't forget... sit at the bar!

Excellent burgers
Yummiest burgers in the east village...maybe even in the city. Great friendly servers and simple, but relaxing, atmosphere. The Royale w/cheese is the way to go.

Great burgers!
Best burgers in the east village. I've been twice now and I always leave thinking "I could eat another one of those!" I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, though. The burgers are well seared, juicy and served on a great brioche bun. At $6 for a cheeseburger you can't beat the value, even though they're not served with fries. (You can skip the fries anyway - the $3 steak fries are underwhelming when compared with the burgers - just order a second burger. They're that good.)
