fantastic!
i don't know what night the grumpy person below went but i was there on a sunday and had a great time. the service was great and the food was fantastic. the music was a bit different for a bar...think mickey avalon, michael jackson, bob dylan and daft punk mixed in but it worked. the waitress and bartender were clearly having a good time, dancing to the tunes while chatting to the customers. ignore the troll on the bottom and go on a sunday. guys...the bartender will make your night!

Believe the Hype
It was a random Sunday night: Giants were preparing to lose (again); rock on the speakers; cute bartender behind by the bar. I ordered the Royale with Cheese and onion rings. The only response is: wow. They do it right. Ignore the naysayers -- they must have forgotten to have coffee that morning. This is a great addition to the neighborhood and I highly recommend.

Best burger and the Best garden
So happy to have this place in the neighborhood! It is, without a doubt, the best burger I've had in the city. I think they butter the buns - yum! The bar area is pretty plain, but go out the back door to the amazing garden and enjoy your burger and beer under the stars. Good selection of beers on tap and the fries are pretty good too. If you're looking for something other than burgers go elsewhere, but if you want some juicy meat between two buns, go now, I am!

Plainview comes to nyc!
If you miss the atmosphere and dining room banter of Chilis ...Chi Chi's or can't make it to midtown to the Friday's come here you'll be psyched to hear all your favorite Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots at ear splitting decibels otherwise you'll hate this place, as I did. I need to ask the patrons and the owners, if you love the flavor of chain restaurants and suburban mediocrity...why don't you just stay there? Remember when you all were terrified of Avenue C? C'mon guys.

Eat your Burger babe!
MMMMM....the best burger in NYC without a doubt. Royale cooks this famous burger to perfection. I am talking about juicy, fresh, and tasty. You will come back for more. Other than the GREAT burger, this place has the nicest garden area. you can enjoy the burgesr with some beers and friends outside on a nice breezy day. The service is great and the music is soooo 80's. i love this fun place, it makes you feel right at home...almost like CHEERS.

Best Burger in NYC
After dozens mediocre NYC burgers, I've finally found one that stands far above the rest. From the first bite, the bacon royale with cheese raised the bar to new levels, so impressive that I had to return the following night just to validate the excellence my taste buds had experienced 24 hours prior. Since my Royale deflowering, I've tried to return one to two times a week to enjoy the buns toasted to perfection, paddy's always cooked spot-on to order, great atmosphere (both inside and on the back patio), friendly service, and quality rock playlist. No true NY burger afficionado can say they've had NYC's best before eating here.

great burgers
The burgers here are probably among the best in the city. I like that they are not huge, so the bun to burger ratio is good, they taste like they were cooked over actual fire and even come with delicious pickles. This place is rather busy, but hasn't been ridiculously hyped like shake shack. Possibly its slightly out of the way location helps.
