Should you or Should'nt you?? Well this is something you must try for yourself! We travel regularly (4 times per year worldwide) and in NYC yes , give Roxy a go. We were shown to a table upstairs where one other couple were. Waiter put menus in front of us as asked if we wanted drinks and went to get order. Drinks out in 5 minutes so that is fine. Waiter then comes back to take meal order and went to palce order. 20 minutes later food arrives....it is quite o.k and the potion serves were fine. Half way through the meals we call waiter to order another round of drinks and they were served post haste..great ..this deli is doing fine. After the meal we sit for 30 mins plates are cleared but waiter no where to be seen for drinks, desert coffee... so we get up and head downstairs. This is where it gets good. I am given the bill, all sums up but then i see 18% gratuity........... HANG-ON I am the customer and you TELL me how much I need to tip? NO WRONG! I get the manager and explain that in my eyes a gratuity is an expression of satifaction we as the customer see and wish to tip on the 'service'. It is not about the paltry $24 I explain that the waiter has in fact done nothing outside of his requirements, and in fact we serve our guests @ home with more attentions and actually engage then and smile enjoying having them as guests. Keep in mind this is a 'Deli' Then I get "Well your in NYC and this is the norm with all eateries, you gotta pay gratuity' My back is up and this guy is heading for trouble. Pardon I exclaim, I 'gota' pay?? Let me tell you something sir, my and that is i am in a business where my 1000 staff enjoy serving people and if they act uninterested they are asked to find a better suited position. I am in the business of 'CARE', Customers are really everything' and your guy really is not too excited about serving. maybe if you did not pool tips and let people pay what they thought the service was worth you would soon find that people thing your establishment may need some prpoer management, I did not see you upstairs in the 90 minutes we were there so how can you see or know how you business is being run.. I left paying my bill and gave them $10 so not to insult them. In actal fact there is a food market only two blocks away where they have a great coffee bar and the staff and service outshines ROXY. So next time we are in NYC, we will give you a try for lunch and compare service. Manager should 'MANAGE' and inspire staff.

12/26/2009 I had been dreaming of the great food at Roxys from a commercial seen at the hotel we were staying. It all end there. My partner ordered a $ 7.00 small chicken noodle soup which had no chicken and a very large overdone dry $15.00 burger .I ordered the $29.95 cheese steak sandwich which arrived dry almost burnt to a crisp and with 2 slabs of what looked like processed food cheese half melted on top.Had it not been for the $ 6.00 Hienekins to wash it some of it down it would have been a total loss. Our waiter asked if we wanted desert, we really wanted to try the cheese cake and our bill was already $ 75.00 not including tip.We decided it best to cut our losses and have desert elsewhere. I would recommend when in Times Square and you see Roxys Deli just keep walking by.Poor quality food and way over priced.

my wife took a day trip to new york she brought back a corned beef sandwich and a pastromi sandwich from roxy's . absolutly the worst sandwaches i have ever tried so much fat on the meat on both sandwaches. both went in the trash .you have got to be kidding me. 30.00 wasted. never again.

Been there in the past and have been very pleased. This time I had friends with me I recommended Roxy's. What a mistake! The food was good not great but good. The restaurant was not clean.. I can not even think about the condition the kitchen must be in. Then to top it all off.... The service was the worst.
