Known for their cheesecake? I do not know why!!! Expensive and bland! They have better cheesecakes in a supermarket. Waiters extremely rude and nasty. Do not recommend this restaurant at all!

While on spring break with my mom we stopped at Roxy's because we were cold and very hungry. We were seated in the aisle at a very narrow table (we evnetually moved to a booth after our food would not fit on the table!) Our waiter was very nice, but when we got those menus my mom and I had a good laugh. It was SO expensive! So we decided to split a smoked salmon platter and fries. I thought we could shutup about the fact that we were gonna share but he knew so that's $3 gone. The salmon was so good but, so much lettuce and the fries were warm and crisp. The lemonade was sour and watery though. Later on that night after "Rent" we went back. *Note* theatre's let out at around the same time so it was PACKED!* We had to be seated at another anrrow table blocked in by other people. I ordered the smae thing, but the waitress told me to get the appetizer because it's cheaper, but still the same size. My mom got a burger which came with a big bowl of coleslaw, fries, and 5 of the best pickles I have EVER had!

Six of us went to Roxy's for dessert and coffee after a play. The desserts were overpriced and not at all impressive. The waiter never asked us if we wanted refills on our coffee, forgot to bring a dessert, and had a lousy attitude. You can purchase a chocolate cigar from the counter for $2.95 or you can sit down and order one for $6.95. The waiter was unhappy with our tip and made a scene in front of other waiters and customers. We will never visit this establishment again!

Got into the city pretty late Friday night for a weekend trip, we were tired and saw the sign so decided to give it a try. Walked in and the place looked old and classic, not to mention drafty as hell. Got seated and had to move immediately because it was so cold. About ten minutes later, a waitress came to take our order. We had such a hard time understanding her that we just nodded and smiled. The appetizers came AFTER one of my party's sandwich came, so they held the rest of ours until we finished. Needless to say, cold pastrami isn't as great as the clearly advertised "HOT pastrami." The pickles looked subpar and the cole slaw was like vinegar soup. I don't see any need for enough meat to cover a slice of bread and be stacked over 2 inches high- are they trying to kill us? The cheesecake was OK- a little warm but tasty nonetheless. The price, however, was outrageous. I'd list prices for stuff here, but they're probably already raised them in the 4 days since I've been there. Only high quality can (somewhat) justify crazy prices, but this quality does not. $120 for 3 people in a deli--- never again.

I had a real brain cramp, when I paid for this meal. I should have returned my sandwich the moment I saw it. Ordered a Chicken club: 1) $24.00 for a Chicken club. You have to be kidding. I still do not know why I did not walkout when I saw the price. 2) I was totally tasteless and served with what you called mayonaise on the side. (There is no way that was mayo...). 3) The topper was the size of that sandwich. I don't care how many people share this sandwich, there is no way you can actually pick it up and put it in your mouth unless you happen to be a large mouth animal. 4) Now I can see why there is so much obesity. 5) I ate only 1/4 of that sandwich by picking at it!

I dined at the Roxy Deli when a bunch of my friends and I took a day trip to NY. We stopped in for a deliscious dessert, which turned out to be not so deliscious. We were seated at the booth on the main floor. It was filthy. The ketchup was busting out of the bottle, and the bottle looked like its been reused too many times. The table was sticky and dirty as well. In our menu we got a half eaten cookie which fell out on the table. There were things floating in our water. Never have I gone to a restaurant where I had to drink my own bottled water. So we finally ordered the dessert. Most of us got the cheese cake, which was like $12 a pop, if not more. And it costs to share something. SO the waiter brough us our food. The cheesecake was so warm that I didnt even feel like eating it any more. It was practically melting. And it looked like someone dug into it before I did since the tip looked like it had fork prints in it. Overall from my personal experiance I wouldn't recommend it. Its not worth the price.
