Last Resort
They never have everything. They run out of everything. Sweet plantains, curry chicken, white rice. When they do have everything, it's great but just the fact that they never have anything is annoying. Especially when you're in the mood for Jamaican food.

Needs work
I visited this restaurant today, the owner attempted to serve NYC police officers who stood behind me. Its obvious he felt that the police officers were more important than me. The Young lady who later served me was pleasant and kind. The rice was soggy and overcooked. I am not sure I will be back. Although the restaurant has improved the community, it needs better customer service and the chef should pay better attention to the food.

Most wonderful experience!
I happened to pass by this restaurant a couple of weeks ago, on my way to a 'Time Out Recommended' restaurant on the same block. After leaving that place behind me, I thought I have to give the Jamaican Place a try. Today I was there for lunch. The place is really inviting and everybody was so nice.I had Jerk Chicken, which was excellent and I will be back for more, loved the sides, rice & peas and mixed vegetable.

Solid good food; quick delivery
First time ordering for delivery. Jerk chicken dinner was properly spicy, rice & peas & plantain superb. Stewed chicken was fine. Home-made ginger beer was divine... Good-sized portions!

Very friendly employees, great food, great price
First, you get a lot of food for the price- and to make it all the better- the food is great. The owner and his fellow employees are very friendly and always have a smile for you when you come in. I think he took a brave step opening up there since the "cool" eat out spots are still a little closer to Ft. Greene, but the restaurant is a great and much needed addition to the neighborhood. Try it and help support a place worth keeping around!
