Two main issues as to why I would never dine at this restaurant again. First, is the lack of service at the bar. The bartender was more interested in chatting and drinking (yes drinking) with her regulars that taking care of me. I had to be the one that always asked for something. Second, I had ordered iced tea and to my surprise she charged me for refills without telling me. Then, when the bill came I questioned the charge and all her response was sorry we always did that. There are too many restaurants just as good and do not charge for iced tea refills.

Our family of 5 were staying nearby and tried this restaurant tonight - our last night in NYC and we were disappointed. We would definitely rate this at the lowest end of the restaurants we've eaten at on our trip. Staff were attentive and friendly, but the food well, over priced! Head elsewhere.

Extensive menu, but, if you're in the mood for something that you don't see, just ask. Very accommodating! All while you listen to the piano player.

Dinner was delicious. The Baked Clams were the best I have ever tasted in the world!! The bartender is so funny along with the others at the bar. The service was excellent and a very friendly staff. We felt like we were at home...thank you all for such a fantastic place to dine.

The price point seems a bit high for what it is . . . but is well decorated okay and the piano player the last time I was there was great. I had eaten here before late in the evening with only a few people there for such a large place and the meal wasn't that great (neither was the service) - actually didn't finish my entree. But I came back with a large party due to the size of the place and the service made up for everything . . . really were on that night and went out of their way to make everything run smooth. I sat in the bar for a while and certainly a local's place, almost everyone that came in was known . . . and by the time we left, the place was packed . . . I would give it a try but go early or come with a large party. Service sure makes a difference.

Live in the neighborhood and have always wanted to try this place. Finally got to try it on Valentine's Day. We were served our bread and then it took a good 20 minutes until someone came to take our order. It was not b/c it was a busy night - there was an abundance of waiters and busboys. We saw our waiter only once - to take our order. They don't speak very good English here - ordered a 2nd glass of wine and they had to bring someone else over to understand what it was we wanted. Had to flag someone down to eventually get a cup of coffee and the same when we were ready for the check. I understand some places don't like to hound you but it would be nice if they checked in once in a while. For the prices they charge service should be much better and you should get more food! I do not recommend.
