    Service better than food

Very friendly service and good drinks, but the food is not worth the price. Go for simple bar food type dishes, and not the main courses.

    Service great, mixed food experience

Rosie's looks cosy, is very convenient, just across the street from our hotel, Sheraton Towers. We were seated immediately, ordered a decent Chardonnay, and served a wonderful bread basket. But when our entrees arrived, (fish and chips and a chicken dish) they were bland. Ate only 1/3 of dinner; waiter asked about our satisfaction, and the manager arrived to hear about our problem, offered to bring different selections..we said no, thanks. Five minutes later the bill arrived, with no food charges, only the wine! A surprisingly generous reaction to our complaint...certainly did not expect that in NYC. Might try again, just because they were so accommodating.

Great place to drop in to!

This is a great place to drop into just for a drink, without feeling uncomfortable about not having something to eat, if you don't want to. Having said that, the food is fabulous, in particular the mozzarella sticks and crab cake sandwich. Rosies offers a wide selection of beers. It has a relaxed and cosy atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and courteous. Great location. Highly recommended.

    Great staff.

A friend & I went to the lower level bar on 2/18 for drinks and a light meal after a days shopping. Clearly they were short staffed and we were greeted & served by the Manager. Every effort was made to make to ensure quality service despite how busy they were. The bar menu was extensive and the quality was tops! Later we sat at the bar & enjoyed the live music. Highy recommended.

    Absolutely Wonderful...

We went to NY for the first time over Christmas, all our friends recommended Rosies for the steak & lobster! Great food and prices were average for the location. Our server was outstanding. After dinner, we went to the Broadway Bar for the live music....what a blast! The Irish Maitre 'D made us feel so welcome and gave us fireside seats which made us feel at home. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would recommend it to anyone.

    Good Entertainment, Mediocre Food

My wife and I stopped in for a bite after the theater one Saturday and found the food mediocre but the downstairs entertainment was excellent afterwards. The keyboardist guitarist played a great mix of music from Irish to classic rock, comedic and even Broadway hits. Would go back just for the entertainment.

Fast Food at Top Dollar Prices

After a hard day's shopping on 5th Ave, we were looking forward to decent meal in a quality restaurant. Unfortunately for us we happed upon this establishment. The problems started when my wife's appetizer was removed before she had actually finished...O.K. so as we're from the UK we thought that the waiter had misunderstood when told that she was not finished. But then within a few minutes our entrees arrived - I thought it normal for some time to elapse between courses? Worse still the food was not overly hot, and when raised with the waiter she was asked sarcastically "what your med/rare steak in cold?" It appeared that the food had been ready for some time.
