    Rosas Review

Rosas Pizza is great. I go there 1-2 a week for lunch for a long while now. They have great sandwiches. They take the time to really put together your sandwich the way it should be, not just throw it together and hustle you out of the restaurant. Something else that is special to me is the grandma slices they have. I am a nice italian boy and have had my share of slices of pizza and let me tell you, this is up there with the best I have had. To be perfectly honest, I cannot give a review on the other slices because the grandma slice is so tasty and delicious I haven't moved on to a different slice. If you are anywhere near Rosas Pizza I urge you to check it out.

    Great little neighbourhood pizza place

Stopped in to this little neighbourhood pizza place on the corner of 27th Street and 7th Avenue for a quick bite to eat because it was between our hotel and the subway and it always looked popular enough. It’s a bit of a confusing place because it seems to be called both Manhattan Heroes AND Rosa’s Pizza AND they also do cupcakes but nonetheless it turned out to be the nicest pizza I had on our whole trip. We had a slice of tomato and garlic pizza, a slice of vegetable pizza, garlic knots and some mini cupcakes. The sauce on the pizza was deliciously rich and tangy and there was just the right amount of cheese. The toppings were generous and well-cooked, especially on the vegetable pizza. The garlic knots were yummy, especially with the pizza sauce dip they gave us with them, although both the knots and the garlic on the pizza was very strong (which was good for us, if not those standing beside us on the subway later). The cupcakes were nice but nothing special. I would definitely go here for pizza again and I would try their other pasta dishes too because they looked really good. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area and want something quick, easy and comforting to eat.
