    $25.00 for a taco?

$25 for a taco? That sounds like a good deal to me. I don't think rice and beans lends itself to any sort of fine dining. Can we keep this great space and throw out the menu please. I won't be dining there again! Adios amigos.

Depends if you want gourmet or Tex-Mex

This food is quite good, but it's "fine" Mexican, and personally I think many other cuisines have better fine food than Mexico. If you're looking for the kind of Mexican you'd find in the Southwest, this isn't for you.

    Nice restaurant, but way overrated

Many people told us this was the best Mexican in the city. It may be among the most expensive, but I wouldn't say the best. Several places serve those tasty pomegranante martinis (out of a slurpee-like machine!) and make guacamole at your table. The tastes are authentic-like (flor de calabaza, etc), but portions are skimpy and prices are high. Overall, not bad, but not great. For a Mexican place, seemed like it was trying awful hard.

    I have had better

I went to this restaurant with big expectations b/c everyone said that this was the best for Mexican. The service is impecable, I'll give them that. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but WAY overpriced for Mexican cuisine. The pomegranate margaritas were worth the trip though. But at $13-you may want to hit a local bar for a margarita for much less.

    Excellent food!!

The food at this restaurant is best described as Mexican with a kick. Everything my party had for dinner was delicious. The guacamole was amazing and they prepare it right in front of your table. Good service, nice atmosphere.

    mmm... skip it...unless U Sneeze $$

Ok Lets begin with the fact that it takes 3 people to ask you whether or not you have reservations .. Thats usually a sign of super duper great service or prices to come. Drinks are .. $12.. for a cosmo..$6 for a beer..I order 1 they charge me for 2.. Next up the food.. Tasted ok.. NIce Pretty food... But $28 for a Mexican food entree... c'mon.. it wasnt that Tasty...Oh and all night I heard the conversation next to me... Never mind that my date was annoying as Hell too.....So overall I give this one a skiparooo... wont be going back...

    I was definitely impressed

From the minute you walk into this restaurant, you're blown away at the ambiance, the aromas, and quite frankly everything about this place made me want to stay! Have a few cocktails at the bar (i liked their specialty house margarita) because it is WORTH the wait! Once seated, it's not quite spacious more of an intimate setting. The servers are very accomodating and the guacamole dip and crab appetizers are such a refreshing treat unlike what i'm used to. We had the grilled pork chops and the grilled chicken, both were amazingly delicious. Presentation alone of the main dishes were enough to make your mouth salivate. Overall, by far this was the best experience in a Manhattan restaurant I ever had. I have to say it's my favorite place to have a nice dinner date or two...
