    Ehhhhhh

Well run restaurant. Food was not worth the money The chicken enchilada mole was good, The guacamole prepared table side was good The pomegranate margarita was good The desserts looked good. BUT...Everything made me feel bloated after....i found it to be a solid 80 in my professional opinion.

    Totally disappointed

The food was unimpressive and expensive. My whole group was disappointed. We all agreed never to return. P.S. - The bartender was outside, came inside, took our orders, and never washed his hands before, he grabbed the rosemary with his hands to muddle it or whatever. People who handle food have a responsiblity to the customer.

    Disappointing

After years living around the corner from Rosa Mexicano, we finally gave it a shot. We will not return. I sensed disaster when the entrees arrived at our table 5 to 7 minutes after we ordered them (and the restaurant was packed). Sure enough, they tasted as though they had been sitting in a warming tray all night before being hastily thrown on a plate with sauce. The shrimp in the shrimp crepes were transparent and had a rubbery texture. I suppose they were undercooked? My husband had the enchiladas mole. The mole sauce was alright, certainly not as rich and chocolatey as I've had in other establishments. The chicken inside the enchiladas had no flavor whatsoever. The rice that accompanied the entrees had been sitting out so long that it was dry and crunchy. Overall, I was shocked at the lack of freshness. Anyone who thinks this is good Mexican food needs to branch out to some of the lesser-known outposts in the East Village and Lower East Side. As other reviewers have mentioned, the drinks are small, packed with ice, and overpriced. Overall, this meal was a tremendous disappointment.

    A good and wonderful place!

My family loves this restaurant! It is so bright and spacious---the decor is a delight. The service was lovely and our waiter was calm and patient. The food was absolutely delicious and the wait time was very slight. Yes the meal was expensive but worth it!

    2500 characters isn't enough!

If I reveal too much about my dining experiences here, the manager (who might read this) will know exactly who this is. But that is not a bad thing to happen. I have been going to this restaurant consistantly for a few years now, and it feels like a second home, literally. Usually, my party is the last patrons to leave, or even sometimes the first to arrive for dinner. Hands down the best TABLESIDE guacamole, or even kitchenside guacamole in the CITY. no joke. The staff is so nice. Although I get the same dish everytime, I don't get tired of it. The desserts are equally fantastic. I tried the margaritas and was tipsy after 3 sips. Very potent, but that is what they are known for. The atmosphere literally makes you feel as if you are dining in Mexico. I love when they celebrate Mexican festivals because they have sugar skulls and candles all over the restaurant. There is no hint of Americanization in this restaurant. Authentic Mexican feel. I just don't like going in the winter, making me feel like I'm in Mexico inside, then leaving and walking back into the freezing cold. All joking aside, great place to go for a date, or even if you have a craving for delicious guacamole with chips, or fresh made tortillas. (ok, I definately just gave myself away with that.)
