I went here with my boyfriend last saturday night. Although we had reservations, we were told (with a slight attitude) that there would be a 15 minute wait. My BF is convinced that he was hoping we would slip him a $20, because only a few minutes later, he went to find us at the bar and seated us at a table. While the margaritas are small, they are very strong and taste good -- no overdose on sugary syrup! We ordered the guac --which was really good.-- and the Zarape de Pollo--which was tiny and not smokey or spicy as we were told it was. I also got the one and only (!) salad on the menu, which was pretty standard. We split the chicken tacos, which were delicious, but again, small portion. The rice was to die for -- whole weat with cilantro and lime!!! All in all, we spent a lot more money than we normally would when we go out, and got less food for the money. Also the service is very very slow. It took forever to bring out each thing that we ordered. But the ambiance was nice, and in the end, we would come back.

Totally agree with "Get it together" below. We went on Easter evening, which was not a busy night. We waited forever for a waiter to come take drink orders. Once we flagged a nice waiter down (unfortunately not ours), he brought our drinks and did the minimum service before he'd run away. We kept having to call him back to order, check on our food, etc. Spoke to the manager, who was too "distracted" (his own words when I confronted him later) to return to our table to offer a solution. What used to be our favorite place when we went to New York will now be on our "no go" list.

I always love the food here but dear god, GET IT TOGETHER with the service! Wwwaay to long for a server to come to us this AM, it took 50 minutes for our food (brunch) to come to us when it did my eggs were cold. Coooommmmeee onnnn!

Oh no, there food is unbareable. I tried it, and retried the food again to see if it has gotten better, but it only gets worse. When friends invite me to eat there to celebrate someones birthday, I just end up meeting them after dinner because the food there is so bad and so overpriced. If you want a good drink and some guac you can stop by , but if your hungry this place is a no go.

My family was wandering around looking for a place to eat when we stumbled upon Rosa Mexicana. The inside was very impressive, though when I saw the menu it made me glad I wasn't paying (but it's New York what can you do!) I ordered a chicken soft taco and it was delicious and well presented with three sauces to fill them which were all delicious.

I ordered their pork carnita tacos. The description of the pork says "slow cooked until fork tender". The carnitas were crunchy, over cooked and disgusting. Not to mention the description also said rice and beans were included and that was clearly not the case. One of, if not, the worst delivery experiences I've had.

After being seated and snubbed for not ordering their (apparently) special guacamole (which is in a bowl big enough to feed a family), we ordered and began our 45 minute wait; only to be told the waiter's version: we would be recieving our queso appetizer shortly because they had a problem with the computer. Funny... Everyone around us continued getting their apps and meals!! The truth: the waiter took our order and quickly forgot us AND forgot to place our appetizer order. So after 45 minutes we get the skillet queso, which was burned and stuck to the bottom of the skillet. Followed by our entrees, which tasted like they sat on the warmer for the additional 15 minutes that passed AFTER we finished our app. Never thought you could mess up chicken soft tacos... yet they succeeded to make them dry and tasteless. To top it all off, the menu was clear that ALL meals come with chips and 2 kinds of salsa, which we never saw - like our waiter, who disappeared so that we could not even ask about this. We recieved no apology for the delayed queso and the waiter acted as though he could care less. SO for a person who always tips 20%, I showed that I cared less... leaving ZERO tip.
