Amazing kathi rolls in Gramercy!
Place is dope. Every kathi roll I've had is amazing. Cheap, fast, and punch you in the mouth full of flavor. Eat it 4 times a week no question.

Quick and Effective
Roomali does it no-frills, which is how I like it. Good, fresh ingredients and quick service make this an excellent neighborhood lunch spot when you're craving Kati Rolls. You may still be hungry after one, and too full after two, so best is to go with a friend and split three.

Minimum $15 delivery?
Roomali has a new policy of minimum $15 delivery. I often order here when my husband won't be home for dinner - so it's just me. 2 of the Kathi rolls are usually pushing my food consumption limits. And, while I applaud the low price of $11 for 2 rolls, I now do not qualify for delivery. Yeah yeah, I could go pick it up. But I live in NY for convenience. I don't want to go pick it up (or order more food!) With other kathi options available for delivery - they no longer have my business.

Disappointing
Both the chicken tikka masala and aloo chana rolls were quite unsatisfying: oddly spicy and yet tasteless. The ingredients did not seem fresh. The masala chai, however, was decent, and delivery was extremely fast. It's cheap, but don't expect anything special.

Paneer From Heaven
If you like paneer, all tandoori roasted and with a little squeak when you chomp down onto it, you will adore the fab paneer here. This is a vegetarian's fast-food sneak-out snack heaven. We drag them home and have them for breakfast, too!

Could be so much better
I have been to Roomali many times. I enjoy the food but the service is slow and very disappointing. This place could be great if the staff cared about getting the food out in a timely fashion and were nicer. I remember getting there like 5-10 minute before they actually started serving food. The door was wide open but they wouldn't even take my order so i walked around the block a few times and came back. There is competition in the neighborhood that is actually cheaper with better service. I have been going there with co-wokers regularly but Roomali is still a bit better tasting.
