If you want to be ignored...
...then this is the place for you! The staff is curt, surly and down-right rude at times. The food is OK and well-priced and the Happy Hour is the best around, but there are many other places so Good Bye Roebling Tea Room!

Love the food but.....
I have a business right around the corner from the Roebling Tea Room. We really love the food but the service is so bad. We try to take clients there every week or so. I can't figure out what the aim of the place is to be so slow especially for lunch during the week. As a business owner I wish I could get a message to the owner. If the Hamburger with "Cheese Option" wasn't so good I wouldn't put myself through the ordeal over and over. Hello? Please get your staff to respect your paying customers.

Great Atmosphere, Over-cooked steaks
I love the atmosphere of this place, the teas are great, the drinks are great- but if you want a decent meal skip Roebling. I've had dinner there several times and have always left wanting more. Last night was the 'tipping point' for my Roebling dining experience. I ordered a NY strip medium-rare, and hour or so later (an HOUR) our food arrived, I recieved a well done chewy piece of meat- and this is not the first time its happened. If you are looking for drinks and a cool atmosphere go to Roebling, if you are looking for decently prepared food go somewhere else.

food is great, but unreliable
i love roebling tea room! we go all the time and it's usually delicious and fun. recently we went and ordered a dish that we get all the time, but this time it was totally different and gross. it was like the chef didn't have the recipe. the waitress wasn't very helpful or kind and we left feeling like suckers. they really need to work on consistency.

love this place!
this place is great! interesting food and drinks at decent prices and a really nice atmosphere. the service can be a little slow and clueless, but the general vibe is good!

take your time
this is the sort of place where you are able to relax and have a nice, catch-up conversation with friends over a lovely meal and a glass of tea or wine. the service isn't fantastic but you're here for well-thought out food. darkly lit and ambient, RTR works perfectly for a group get together or an intimate first date.

One of the best in Williamsburg!
My only complaint is that the service is a little flaky - but! The atmosphere is amazing, charming, and relaxed. The food is delicious (I don't know what these people are talking about - I've had several soups, salads, the vegetarian bratwurst, AND a number of brunch items) - it all tastes fresh and perfectly seasoned. And they totally serve tea - there is an enormous tea menu! Great place to eat dinner, brunch, or just hang out and have some tea or beer!
