    Oh dont waste your time

Very rarely will I ever try a restaurant just once. And rarely will I ever give a public bad review. This was one of the worst BBQ places I have ever been to. The salsa - bland! I actually put salt and pepper in it. The chicken wings - ok they were good. I had the Prairie Salad - I mean seriously, who messes up a salad? The chicken was dry, salad - dry, the best part was the goat cheese and the left over dressing from my wings. Ordered margaritas and had an overwhelming taste of sour mix. Best part of the whole night was my slight buzz from the yuck ritas to wash down the dry chicken.

    Do. Not. Eat Here.

This was possibly the worst food I've had at a restaurant in New York City. Everything was extremely salty, overly breaded, and just poor quality. The bison burger (ordered medium rare) was so overcooked that it was like eating shoe leather. The servers were so busy chatting with each other that it was almost impossible to get a second beer. Even getting the check was an ordeal. With so many great restaurants in New York, don't waste your money here.

Great place for a beer and a burger

Go here pretty often. Great place to grab a cold beer (or margarita) and a delicious chili cheese burger. Their nachos are really good too. The atmosphere is right for this type of food. Service is always friendly and fast. There's a reason I keep going back, perfect experience when just kicking back.

Good food, fun place, bad waitress

Five of my friends and I went to Rodeo Bar on a Saturday evening, arriving around 10 PM. We asked if there was a table available since we were planning ordering some appetizers, and we were immediately seated at a table in the room with the small stage. A band started playing around 10:30 PM. Four of us ordered drinks, and we all shared a couple appetizers. Everything was good, but we couldn't help but notice that our waitress had a serious attitude. We chalked it up to her having a bad day and let it go until, about an hour after we had been seated, she approached us and said that there was a 2 drink minimum per person per set that the band played. I explained to her that we did not request to be in the room with the band and that we had not been told of the drink minimum when we were seated to which she angrily replied "Well, I'm telling you NOW!" I said we would be leaving shortly once everyone had finished their food and drinks, and she told me she was bringing the check immediately. She brought it over when one person was only halfway through her chicken fingers. It's a shame because I've been to Rodeo Bar a million times and never had an experience like this. I hope they do a better job hiring so their staff won't turn off loyal customers just because one member of their 6 person party isn't drinking.

    Great brunch

Brunch is great at Rodeo. Everything kind of tastes the same but I highly recommend! The corn chowder also rocks. I've seen a few reviews here that are pretty negative. I have to give Rodeo a thumbs up for great drinks and some pretty awesome apps. I think the best entree on the menu is their steak fajitas. Nicely seasoned, extremely tasty.

Good for drinks and apps, not dinner!

I had a burrito the first time and it was okay, not great. The second time I had the chicken tortilla soup and how ironic, not one tortilla in that soup! It was over cooked chicken in spicy broth. Yuck. The drinks are great and the appetizers are good, but don't eat a meal there.
