Rocky's Number II

Murray Hill is known more for Indian food than pizza, but this is a great place to go get a slice. I go drinking on 2nd and 3rd Ave a lot, and I always hit up Rocky's afterwards with my friends. The slices are awesome, and their pasta is very under-rated. One of my favorite places for authentic NY pizza. Friendly staff too. Love me some Rocky's!

The food is pretty good, but the are very slow when it comes to delivering the orders.

Against the best that NYC has to offer, I'd rate Rocky's II at three, maybe 3 1/2 stars (averageabove average). However, since Kips Bay doesn't have any truly great pizza, IMHO, I'm giving Rocky's 4 stars. It is one of the better pizza-by-the-slice places in the area. Sadly that's not saying much. The friendly workers are a plus.

Pizza and garlic bread are both yummy. However - it did take an hour to get the food delivered.

My wife and I really missed Aiello's buffalo wings and have been searching for a replacement in the neighborhood. Rocky's is it. Authentic buffalo wings. No breading, just fried wings sauce is classic - Frank's, butter and maybe some cayenne. Hot is perfect for us (although many may want hotter). & they make them fresh. Pizza is pretty good as well. Great value for classic buffalo wings.

i know newyorkers like their pizza thin but i'm from the midwest and this is a DELICIOUS chewy, handtossed pizza that is saucy and cheesy and maybe the best pizza i've had out here in ny. can't get enough. the small is huge, fyi.

Great food - from the pizza to the meat & pasta dishes, everything is delicious. Nice surprise since I wouldn't have expected it from a pizzeria. Easy on the wallet too.
