    Yummy and Welcoming

The people at RHC are so warm, welcoming and nice! The atmosphere also is cool and welcoming, from the moment you walk up to the entrance and see the people eating outside to the colors, decor and tables inside. Delicious Mexican food and drinks, great atmosphere and service, great value!

    My favorite restaurant

Brunch, the pancakes are amazing. Lunch, value! Unbelievable soups and the best burrito in New York. $7.95. Unbelievable. Dinner, lamb is incredible, mixiote is wonderful. Margaritas? Huge, strong and delicious. My favorite is the passion fruit until Spring. Then it's watermelon Margaritas till Labor Day. The staff is like family. I love this place.

    Best of Chelsea

Rocking Horse Cafe has been a neighborhood (Chelsea) gem for more than 15 years. I eat there monthly and always enjoy the amazing food and warm service. The lunch specials are a real value and Brunch is fantastic too. If you live here, you know it's great. If you don't, give it a try.

    worth every penny!

I absolutely love this place! I am extremely picky when it comes to Mexican food and i'd like to think i'm an expert because, well....I'M Mexican! My mom had me spoiled with her godly cooking techniques, but this place makes me feel right at home when I need that taste of home. Service: warm, inviting and sexy! The people at Rocking Horse Cafe are like my extended familia. Everyone is gorgeous, attentive to guests, and proud of their food! I absolutely love Alfonso, Sean, & Jasmine! FOOD: Bursting with flavor! Every bite is literally like a fiesta in your mouth! Most Mexican food i've tried in the city was bland and boring. Rocking Horse Cafe is quite the opposite. The complex combination of spices that Chef puts together is amazing and the twist to traditional Mexican food will leave you wanting more! I recommend: Quesadilla de hongo, any ensalada, frozen margarita WITH salt, & the tres leches. BUEN PROVECHO!

    Great brunch choice

The food was terrific, and they were willing to adjust the hot factor for those of us who needed it. Plenty of choice for vegetarians. The brunch for $15 included 1 hot drink, 1 cold drink and 1 entree. The drink sizes were huge and the entrees were more than enough. The service was excellent. Definitely will go back again! (And it's very close to the High Line!)

    Tasty but worth it? (Delivery)

Great service, from the person taking my order to the delivery guy making it within the time promised. But it all comes down to the food-doesn't it? My wife ordered the Shrimp con Papaya which was a little spicy for her, but tasty, and the collard greens which were excellent. I had the burrito with Steak which I was at first disappointed with the portion, but then realized it was enough. The Burrito was very tasty although I could have done without so much tortilla. We also had the guacamole and chips which were really good. The only real disappointment was the rice and beans- very bland and a little soggy. Would we order from them again? For the price? probably not, but if we were walking by...maybe we'd drop in.

if you're going to read a review, read THIS one.

i'll be perfectly honest. i saw the menu online for rest. week + i was dying to try it. so my bf + i go. we ordered about 6 different dishes + dessert because they SOUNDED good. the only time our waitress made eye contact was when i was signing the check, like "please tip me?" please. i'm sorry. my bf and i are serrrrrious food people. we LOVE food. i cook my butt off. my bf and i were one of maybe 7 other patrons there. i even asked the busboy (the busboys were the only people there with any warmth at all, mind you) if they were usually busier than tonight... he smiled and shook his head. we just cracked up.
