I had been eating at Rocco's a few times a year since 1984, and now its gone. I am saddened in ways that words will not express. This was truly a great, and comforting restaurant.

We took a family vacation from Ca to New York in 1999..for 10 days we did the tourist thing,,and we tried many restruants but this was the best by far...we still talk about our dinner at Rocco's... wonderful atmosphere...great service and fantastic food..If you love Italian food this is the place!

excellent service, really good traditional italian food. a neighborhood place, more than a tourist spot luckily - i recommend it.

What a great place. i get takeout from here all the time. the owner is great and the waiters are very friendly.

I've been enjoying this wonderful restaurant on a regular basis for at least ten years, and the best thing about it is that nothing changes. Same delicious food, great service, friendly atmosphere, and excellent value. Top recommendation!

Went for lunch, party of two. Appetizers: Clams Oregonata, good. "On special" appetizer of roasted red peppers, mozzarella and prosciutto, excellent. Second courses: Spaghetti with white clam sauce, fantastic sauce, made with large fresh clams, spaghetti perfectly 'al dente.' Spaghetti with marinara sauce also fantastic. Entrees: Shrimp Francese (which the chef made just for me) excellent, made with fresh jumbo shrimp. Red Snapper also excellent. Entrees came with string beans, perfectly prepared. Delicious fresh bread. Fine desserts and coffee. Charming ambiance, very comfortable. Waiter was friendly and provided exemplary service, also spoke Italian. Fair prices. No pretentious nouvelle nonsense on the menu.

Classic old-style Italian restaurant, with delicious food (make sure to order the fried calamari as an appetizer -- you'll never have better), excellent service, and a delightfully relaxed authentic atmosphere.
