Not Happy Valentine's Day
An unimpressive experience. Appetizer: scallops w/ pine nuts (3) on bed of crunchy, inedible eggplant pieces. Entree: veal piccata w/ breading covered with sauteed, tough artichoke heart pieces served w/ tough stringy spinach. Dessert: "cheesecake?" similar to grocery store mix for fake cheesecake. Bore no resemblance to cheesecake. Add $15 martinis and you have the picture.

Tiramisu
Roc has amazing tiramisu. The food is authentic, the atmosphere is sophisticated but not pretentious. Try it out, you'll be glad you did!

Great Corner
The location at the corner of Greenwish and Duane is beautiful for lunch or brunch across from the park. At dinner, the pastas are delicious and I've been going to Italy every year for the past 15 years so, I'm very picky. The wine list has some interesting wines from Southern regions - nice selections to match the Amalfi-inspired menu. If you like to catch glimpses of De Niro, Gwyneth and Billy Crystal, this is the place to go.
